There was some hard contact off him after he was hit on the shin, but I just watched the one inning I missed and there was some bad defense behind him like a pretty routine grounder that Vlad messed up (and they scored a hit?). Espinal also made an error in the 4th or 5th. Defense was awful tonight. Maybe the wet field?

In the coming schedule for May, Sox are the 2nd weakest team we will face (Yankees being the 1st due to injuries). Everyone else is a meat grinder.

Yeah this was an awful game and could’ve been worse. I can handle losing the previous 3 games because 1 bounce goes different and we win those. But this one was gross.
