gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Imagine Kikuchi being charged for 3ER that inning. f***ing joke.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 He didn't play that well. You got to use your glove to shield the sun also if it's that bad. That's the second time already this year and shouldn't be expected from a player known for his elite outfield defence. that only works if the ball is adjacent to the sun, if the ball is directly in the sun theres nothing you can do. Throwing your glove up would just block the ball as well
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Imagine Kikuchi being charged for 3ER that inning. f***ing joke. I mean he gave up an absolute Piss Missile to Renfroe. Lets relax lol.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Honestly as long as Kikuchi isn’t walking 3+ per game he’ll be fine
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 We currently don't have a long man. And Kikuchi and Berrios aren't going to go deep into games thats a big problem. Kikuchi is already at 40 pitches to end the second inning.

That ball wasn’t some line drive right at him, it was a moonshot that took forever to come down. He obviously tried his best to play it well but the sun just wins every now and then. Happens to good and bad outfielders every year throughout the season.
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 I guess this team has to keep dealing with Berrios and Kikuchi again.

The almost complete lack of attention to our pitching staff in the offseason is astounding to me considering how much of a problem it was and is going to be.
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 I don't think they can beat the Rays next week if Berrios and Kikuchi are starting.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Jansen swinging a 40oz bat it seems like.

Throwing your glove up would just block the ball as well You need to stagger your glove so you can at least get glimpses of where it is. He did none of that.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 You could see the pitch had a bit of tail to it. It was just an awfully located changeup. Kikuchi has fully moved away from his cutter. Thanks, that's good to know at least.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Ryu, Springer, Berrios,....... Awful deals, Atkins
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Author Posted April 9, 2023 Cy Detmers today I guess.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 You need to stagger your glove so you can at least get glimpses of where it is. He did none of that. Professional ball player right here. You should be a coach or something
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Ryu, Springer, Berrios,....... Awful deals, Atkins Springer has been great??
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Author Posted April 9, 2023 Heh, Trout was clearly sitting on the slider, good thing it was just a single.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Springer has been great?? Injuries and now lost his mojo
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Heh, Trout was clearly sitting on the slider, good thing it was just a single. Doesn't matter when Ohtani follows it up with a dinger Sigh
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 I thought Kikuchi was good again?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 I thought Kikuchi was good again? Yeah he should be able to strike out that bum Ohtani easily
