482 feet apparently. Dude is in full breakout mode. Good for baseball/Seattle, bad for Toronto.

Ya if Kelenic can be good that helps Seattle out a ton.

Sometimes these guys take a few years to fully breakout. I think overall fans expect prospects like him to hit the ground running and that’s not always the case. Wander looks like he’s fully breaking out as well.

I am a huge fan of Varsho and KK over Teo and LGJ. Don’t miss them at all

I just looked a couple of days ago and he was hitting like .180 with a ton of K's. It's funny how a couple of hits can change one's perspective.

I agree that I'm not convinced on Kelenic, yet, but his tools are loud and he's only 23.

Everything is weird at the start of the season, a few good or bad games can swing numbers wildly.

Yeah there was a running catch both Varsho and Springer made in the late innings yesterday. I don't think Tapia or Hernandez cover that ground.

I have followed the Jays since 1985. This is THE BEST OF defence I have ever seen. It is so nice to watch.

They kinda moved him immediately after that first NY start haha. He’s pitched in relief twice and hasn’t looked very good

It’s strange. Wonder if it’s a GM/manager difference of opinion. Can’t imagine a GM would sign him and give him the hook after one start

Giants seem as reactionary as a fan. Poor Strip finally thought he was going to get his shot at making 30 starts and see what happens. 1 bad start and hes gone lol

Yeah very odd. You think they’d at least give him 8-10 starts before moving him to the BP

I was thinking half that many starts at worst (4-5) but either way, moving him after one is quite bizarre.

They gave him back end SP money, and he definitely seemed to believe he was signing there to be a starter.

Stripling, who went 10-4 for Toronto last season, is now eager to be part of a San Francisco rotation featuring Logan Webb, newcomer Sean Manaea, Alex Cobb and Alex Wood. Giants President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi has told Stripling that's the plan.

“I expect to start. I had a good year as a starter. I feel like the couple times I’ve gotten a runway as a starter in the big leagues where I kind of knew my position in the rotation as a starter was safe is when I’ve done the best,” Stripling said in a video call. “I made an All-Star game in 2018 with the Dodgers and then this year with Toronto and I knew they basically didn’t have anyone and they gave me some runway and I was able to do well."

Yeah, his stuff and location metircs are largely the same as last year. still an amazing changeup and curve, though the slider so far has taken a step back. Stuff+ last season was 101, this season so far its 85, and he's been throwing it more often in 2023.. 29% vs 22% of the time.

Still, very reactionary from the Giants
