Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 It's a really bad prescendent man. There are people who have been CONVICTED of more serious crimes that have been let back. Banning him for life would be ridiculous and something I hope doesn't happen. Who are these people? Bauer is not banned, no one wants him. He's toxic to a team and its fanbase. I know there are others, but the only ones banned from baseball that come to mind are Pete Rose and a bunch of Sox including Shoeless Joe.

Vet the accusers at least instead of suspending and investigating later. That was unfair to wait on the legal process to drag on like a snail because there was all smoke there and no fire

Someone else made a good point, that Bauer is possibly blacklisted by most MLB teams for whistleblowing the sticky stuff situation. The domestic violence accusations are a perfect excuse for teams to not sign him. Aaaanyways that being said, it couldn't have happened to a better guy. Definitely a difference vs straight up domestic violence.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I think teams missed an opportunity. They could have had a bdsm night, tap into a whole different fan base.

Virgil_Hiltz Verified Member Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I mean you could be right, but why does playing in Japan for 1 year close the door on every playing in MLB again? Interesting that a team in Japan doesn't care about the allegations (where he was never charged), but MLB does? He could have an "out clause" in his contract if hes offered an MLB deal, but I doubt we'll see him back though.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 I’m not sure how they can give Clevinger 0 games after the penalty they handed to Bauer. Hopefully Bauer is able to return next year.

Definitely a difference vs straight up domestic violence. Bauer was found of no wrong doing. A guy like Matt Bush went to jail after running someone over with his car while drunk, he’s still playing. I bet Manfred has something to do with this.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 What would his bobble-head have featured? Ball-an-gag? Swing? Strap over his shoulder? Skip the bobble head. Give away toys and such to the first so many fans.

Legal wrongdoing no Moral wrongdoing likely Either way the point still stands.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 That's what you come up with, because you hate the guy? C'mon man... he hasn't done anything wrong legally. Yeah that’s what I said… learn to read?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Yeah that’s what I said… learn to read? K..... that post is layered in your previous comments on the man, you deny that?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Guy served his suspension and absolutely should be playing in the MLB concerning skillset. He's been shut down by the MLB like Bonds and Puig for example, stupid.

I need to quote all the people who clowned on me for saying Bauer would never throw an MLB pitch again. He is done in MLB. Ok I clicked it and read some of the replies. I'm trying to be a lot nicer these days so I don't want to name any names....but WOW...some of those takes were truly atrocious. Bauer Fanboys, like their hero, just aren't very bright. I think some of you need to apologize to King if I'm being honest.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Sorry King That's a good start. Anybody else?

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 That's a good start. Anybody else? Why? He says a thing that 75% of people thought(tried and juried by population), and 25% that said, due process... and that hasn't worked, it's a f***ing joke on the MLB, a joke. Never would I admit it as he's still a professional.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 One thing I know, is that this POS hasn't survived any other POS's that play today, or the past and leaking into other sports. Ja Morant anyone? *Gang signs repeatedly and flashing a loaded gun in a Strip joint* Societies missing s***. 4 games by his own team.
