He's just saying show me the evidence that teams should shy away from signing this guy because of the fan/sponsor backlash that folks think will occur. If Bauer is an issue in the clubhouse - that's a completely separate issue that isn't part of this discussion. Also - the "issues" that arose in Arizona were because his coaches were dinosaurs that wanted him to make huge changes to how he pitched. Bauer was light years ahead of them. He wanted to throw the 4 seamer up in the zone before it was "the new thing" in MLB. They wanted him to throw sinker/sliders down in the zone and pitch more to contact. I think the same thing happened in Cleveland at the start as well. Thank god he wasn't a f***ing sheep that just did what they said because they were old.
