I flew up with my son to see the first two games of the ALCS in 2015 against the Rangers just to watch them go down 2 games to none and went home depressed. Could have hung around to be there for Bautista's HR in game 5 but no.....

100%. If we put up a decent record, say 16-13, we'd only need 1 of the 3 teams to play .500ish ball or so. One of them could s*** the bed entirely.

*Silvio cover your eyes*

Mariners and Rangers schedules are starting to toughen up too.

*Silvio, you really need to skip this part*

The easiest part of our schedule all year is coming up with this 9 game stretch against the Rockies, A's and Royals. With Chapman and Bo out I'm not going to call for 8-1 or anything. But 6-3 or 7-2 puts us in a good position heading into that 4 game series against Texas.

I'll take 7-2 or 6-3 from the Jays over the next 9 games. With the way the Rangers have been playing as of late, definitely will be in a good position before that series starts like you said. Jays just need to take care of business against these weaker teams!

Rangers face the Twins this weekend, Astros next week and the A's afterwards before the Jays series. Hope at best they go 4-5 over those 9 games.

Looks like I might be owing Stangstag $20

The Rangers are definitely the Jays best shot at a playoff spot. They are playing horribly, and the Jays play them 4 times at home in 2 weeks. I wouldn't count on the Astros choking down the stretch, and the Mariners are playing good ball. It's either the Jays or Rangers for WC3, IMO.

Holy crap. That was 12 years ago lol

Yes I've been getting very unlucky...that was a fun game though Morrow threw a gem. Although I remember that game most for when my friend dodged a foul ball and it hit a little girl behind him. She was fine after a long cry, chipped her shoulder, but we still give him s*** to this day.

Could still be the Mariners. They have the worst schedule and I honestly think the Rangers and Astros are too good to fail.

The M's are still the most vulnerable of the three, I think they are most likely to finish third in that division, but they are also the ones that will be toughest to catch since they have a 4 game lead in the loss column PLUS a tie breaker. So that sucks.

True

It's easy to maybe overestimate them because of recency bias - they're playing out of their minds right now and beat us in the playoffs last year

Can't see the Rangers maintaining this freefall but whatever as long as one of them bombs and we win our games LOL

Yeah once again might just be me thinking too much of narratives, but possibly Seattle is playing free and easy seeing as they were basically dead and buried, while the Rangers have a bunch of expectations put on them.

It WOULD help if either the Rangers or Mariners won like 6 of their 7 remaining games against the other instead of splitting them 3/4

That's what I heard on the radio the other day

good sign then, if he has that velo plus his experience pitching high leverage innings with the Yankees

Don't let Babe Schneider's Hall of Fame start distract you from the fact that Ernie Clement is the next Tony Fernandez.

When was Green officially on the roster? IF… We make the playoffs and Green is not in our pen, that is a major f*** up as far as I am concerned.

He's been on the roster the whole time. He was on the 60 day DL.

Any player who is on the 40-man roster or 60-day injured list as of 11:59 p.m. ET on Aug. 31 is eligible for the postseason.

Danner 60-day IL is the corresponding move to make room for Green on the 40-man.

well that sucks for Danner

was hoping to see him a bit in September

Horowitz should play over vlad, Lul. Imagine pinch hitting Horowitz for vlad in a bass loaded situation that might get his head out of his ass

Tonight begins the final big time push odds stacked against them.

Had to step away from all Jays coverage for 1.5 days. Long as I could bare. This season has been getting to me! lol.

Lets hope they boys have a roll in them to finish in the playoffs. Would make a lot of Canadians happy.
