I'm not concerned. Is that unreasonable?

Of course not. It's perfectly reasonable for some fans to be somewhat concerned and for others to not yet be concerned with Manoah.

Anyone else worried about Manoah? He's down basically 1MPH on all his pitches so far this year and hasn't looked good at all.

I expected some regression from him this season, and him to pitch more along the lines as a No. 3 or 4 with an ERA closer to 4 instead of pitching like a 1/2 starter. But yeah there is some concern especially if other guys like Berrios or Bassitt don't pitch well, since that only leaves the Jays with Gausman as their only solid starter.

To the eye test Berrios has looked good, missed with some fastballs but otherwise has looked good. Kikuchi has looked good and Bassitt looked good in start 2 and all three have had some bad luck on balls in play. Manoah hasn't looked good at all.

It's only 3 starts so lots of time left for everyone to round into shape.

kikuchi didnt really pitch that bad against the angels, he just got Ohtani'd.

That pitch Ohtani hit for the HR was inside off the plate and he inside-outed it for a Left Centre HR of like 400+ feet. That's ridiculous.

That's like Vlads HR off Cole last year when it was nearly 100mph inside and he took it out.. could throw that exact pitch to those hitters another 20 times and not get those results.

I’m honestly not worried about the results with Kikuchi, as long as he doesn’t go back to the wild 5+ walks per game guy. His stuff is good and it plays.

I think he would benefit from backing off the slider and change velo a bit. For the slider, get it back down to 86-87. Right now it's averageing 2mph harder than previous years, and getting less vertical drop. Changeup is also about 2 mph harder than his previous years, with less vertical and less horizontal movement. Its averaging 89 mph vs his fastball at 95.

Looks like dome's open today.

Too bad the process for opening it takes so long that they couldn't get it lined up for last night.

Damn I might change plans and go to the game tonight to get that bobblehead.

You better leave now and get down there if you want to it (and want to lose 4-5 hours of your life)

Lmao are they lining up now?

A lot of tickets available for tonight. I bet they will get a lot of walkups or people might decide to go down knowing the roof is open.

Raps also playing tonight for their Play-In game so will be busy I expect downtown around the RC and Scotia Arena.

I don't know, but people love that s***. We were there for the Springer jersey give away last year and it was stupid. We finally got to the front of the line and the last few jerseys were given to the folks in front of us. Luckily I was telling someone in line that we didn't get one and that it was my 12 year olds birthday and some old guy gave us his and saved the day.

Yeah glad you were able to get one for your son after.

As much as I love bobbleheads, better just to buy them off someone from Marketplace or Kijijji couple days after the game if you find someone selling it at a reasonable price like $40-50.

You have to wait in line even before they open the gates so you're pretty much lining up 2-3 hours before the game, then you have a bunch of time to kill before the game starts, and you have to then buy expensive food and drinks at the ballpark.

When 500 level tickets were like $10, would just buy one from a scalper, walk in 2-3 hours before to grab a bobblehead and leave.

Turns out the Springer Jersey's are men's XXL, so it should fit my son in like 50 years. It still made his day though.

Chapman headlines the article, he has changed to a toe-tap timing mechanism. Seems to be paying off.

"The difference in Chapman’s connection to the ground is drastic. Last year, he hit full front knee extension and immediately flew off the ground as he over-rotated to the pull side (watch his lead foot come disconnected). This year, his toe tap is allowing his stride to stay closed through foot strike and his feet to stay connected to the ground even after full knee extension, suggesting an improvement in rotational direction. If this is what a toe tap does for him, then I’m excited about his potential going forward."

Someone posted this yesterday. I wouldn't normally say anything, but you always love pointing out when someone is late to the party ;)

Hahaha... Cheers! Sorry Brownie, missed it.

Last offseason would have been nice but ok

Why wait till the off-season, hire his ass as a roving pitching coach or special assistant to Pete Walker or whatever title they want to give him and get him in there now.
