gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 Relax man, posters are also in spring training mode, trying to get into their groove for the season. If you don't practice, you end up being like Gruber, s***-raving across all the game day threads. I bet there hasn't been a dick that you didn't like sucking on, hey Dick?

This is why back in the day, I always preferred to have sex for the first time with a girl I would meet in either February or March. If I didn’t live up to her expectations, I could always say, relax baby, I’m still in spring training mode. Just wait until April or May and I promise I will give you the best 30 seconds of your young life.
King Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Vladimir Guerrero Jr. underwent an MRI on his knee last night that revealed some minor inflammation, but no structural damage. The #BlueJays will see how he feels tomorrow and go from there. More discomfort than a “pain” issue. He was scheduled to leave for the WBC tomorrow. Oh no
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Author Posted March 4, 2023 Hey guys... The above tweet says "NO MRI PLANNED" but then today they said he underwent an MRI on his knee last night. Which one is it??? This team never tells us the truth
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Pull all extension offers to Vlad Jr. asap before he accepts

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 No ST game on TV today?? f***ing Tigers…
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Per the radio broadcast, MRI showed 0 structural damage, just some minor inflammation for Vlad's knee. Not a big deal, give him a few days off and he'll be fine MRI wasn't planned when the game was over, but they decided to do it later in the evening after talking to trainers out of an abundance of caution. They didn't say so specifically, but sounded like if this was even the regular season he'd still be playing.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Pat Borders doing colour commentary today.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 WIndy again today, but straight out instead of in.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Hopefully Vlad will be extra motivated now. And hopefully this is the last year of this tournament. Its time to do away with it.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Pat Borders not a fan of the pitch clock... all rush. Im utterly shocked that an old ball player is not a fan of change. This is very surprising to me. Old people are generally the first to accept change.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 You'll never grow old... LOL Maybe, maybe not. So far, my brain is still flexible enough to understand that change is inevitable and "....because that's not how it used to be done" is not really a valid defense of... anything.

Our generation have seen the most changes of all generations, yes we adapt very well but it doesn't mean we have to accept stupid changes.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Our generation have seen the most changes of all generations, yes we adapt very well but it doesn't mean we have to accept stupid changes. Well, you think you adapt well, but you really don't overall. Begrudgingly accepting that change is taking place is not the same as realizing that the change is necessary and successfully adapting to it. It's not really your fault though, it's physiology and all about the brains neural pathways. The older you are, the more "set" those pathways are and fewer new connections are capable of being made so in general, old people do NOT adapt well to change because their brain literally cannot handle it the same way it could when the brain was younger and capable of forming new connections. This is why keeping your brain young and more "flexible" is very important. By the way, the above is a very simplistic explanation and it's far more detailed and complicated, and there are, of course, exceptions in small percentages of the population like most things.

Your classification of these changes as stupid has no basis. The fact the majority of people like the changes means that MLB made a smart decision; these changes will likely improve the experience for the majority of its fans.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Did he get fat again? I haven't watched any spring training yet. Genuinely curious I don’t think he’s ever not been fat You can see when he turns around first he kinda breaks his footing down and then sees the throw goes through to home so takes off for second. Those knees aren’t used to starts at stops like that. He kind of gingerly eases into second

Dumnnnn. The WBC is exciting. Just needs to be held a different time of year or they need to pause the season or something.
