Bregman would be my target next offseason for sure.

There is a chance Martinez dominates AAA and improves his defence sufficiently to negate a need for a 3B.

What are you bickering about now? Again you try to create confrontations and arguments around here for no reason.

Atkins has proven to do a very solid job at signing 1-year stopgap solutions such as with Semien, Ray, and last offseason with Belt and KK. I trust that him and the FO could make similar signings this offseason again, whether its with someone like Hoskins and/or someone like Gallo/Meadows for LF etc. Bellinger would be a nice signing if him and Boras drop their demands and their asking price becomes more reasonable, but I just don't want to offer a blank cheque to him just because the Jays lost out on Ohtani and missed out on trading for Soto.

Holy crap, man... why don't you shut the f*** up up u jack wagon, maybe we can talk to you in Mamby Pampy Land man, I can't help ya. Merry Christmas! Follow your trail, ass hat. Your awareness is is at zero.

P.S. I said NONE of that, fool.

Every single Jays blue post

Sign player X. It could work out but it might not. But I don’t have a crystal ball so I don’t know but don’t tell me it won’t work because how do YOU know?

Cover your bases in every single post so nobody can ever come back and say you said something wrong. Very strange tbh

lol... all the time, hence my rubber fence reference, dude's out of control, with hyperbole.

It's hard to really know how good a fit Gallo is because the team has so many holes, and it really does depend how they're filled. They currently need an everyday LF, a 4th OF, and an everyday 3B. If they go into camp with Gallo looking like the best LF option, that's not ideal. But he's pretty interesting as a cheap 4th OF if they get someone better for LF.

Yeah Gallo as a 4th OF/backup 1B would be good. Primary starter in LF not as much (unless the team went HAM at DH and 3B and needed someone cheap).

If we signed Tommy Pham who is old to be the LF then Gallo would be a nice fit. Wouldn’t need to be a strict platoon but perhaps a soft platoon.

If I’m going cheap I’m bringing in Tommy Pham. Should be a one year deal less than 10M.

Teoscar would be my next choice. He’d be more expensive but might take a one year prove it deal.

I like Michael Brantley but he’s always hurt. Probably need to stay away

Adam Duvall is a guy I would bring in cheap too

I’m starting to hope they sign Bellinger because I’m scared if they don’t they’ll sign Chappy instead

I wonder if Teoscar is open to signing a one-year deal or does he think he could get a 3-4 year deal now since LGJ got 3 years from the D'Backs. If we could sign Teo on a one-year deal, sign me up! Hoskins or JDM at DH, with Teo in LF are both sweet additions offensively and stopgap solutions!

Duvall would be an excellent 4th OF option/platoon guy. Posted 1.9 WAR last season in 92 games and some nice pop.

Agreed, I like Duvall as a potential sneaky buy-low

I'd include Barger there as well. He played quite a bit of 3B, seemed like he got more starts there than Martinez. Looking at Buffalo's lineup it seemed like they had a different 3B every game. I took a small cluster of games and the starting 3B included Barger, Martinez, De Los Santos, Palmegiani, Clement, and Lantigua. Maybe the legit plan all along is to go into spring training with a competition for 3B, see who shows up to spring training in the best shape of their life and catches fire.

We REALLY need 1 of Orelvis, Barger and Palmgiani to establish themselves as a legit ML starting player. Barger, as a lefty, would really be the ideal fit.

You’ll get Orelvis hitting .200 with 30 homers and making some terrible baserunning gaffes. 3 WAR but the casual fans will hate him.

At least the position player DEPTH looks really good for once.

Barger is a legitimate prospect, MLB ready, and he is like... 5th and 7th on the 3B and 2B depth charts.

The OF depth chart doesn't look as good on Fangraphs but some of these infielders can just go play in LF

Barger has been getting lots of OF reps hasn’t he?

Yeah 30 games or so in AAA

More than 2B, actually

I think they might see him as a 3B or RF more than the typical 2B/LF combo. Because SS arm.

I was thinking that also. He's old, so he won't command a 3-4 year deal and I believe he can play all 3 OF positions. I had thought he was a lefty masher and he could be part of really solid platoon with someone like Max Kepler or maybe Joey Gallo - but it looks like he actually doesn't crush lefties that much. He was much better v. RHP last year and his splits are near even for his career. I still think he'd be a really solid 4th OF at the right price...a bit too bad he doesn't crush lefties though......

Duvall is sneaky good. I bet he signs for like 1/8 and it wouldn’t be surprising if he outperforms guys like Teo or Gurriel. Duvall, Michael Taylor or KK, and Hoskins or JDM would actually be pretty tidy business for the OF/DH spots if they all come on 1-year deals.

Everyone has been playing everywhere in AAA.

I like Duvall but I’m worried that Father Time will come for him soon.

Lantigua is interesting and based on stat scouting alone he looks really good. But he was a minor league free agent and came back to us which tells me the industry thinks a lot less of him than us stat scouts do.

His max and average exit velocity is 103.9/86.7. Tony Kemp's this year was 103.0/86.7. Both are short, 5'7" and 5'6". Lantigua is Tony Kemp.

On a 1yr deal does it matter? Worth a gamble like Belt was

Carl?

Rather have Carl than Bellinger but I'm talking about Brandon and Solano for 3b. Let him back up Bo too and ship Espinal somewhere.

Or just sign Solano. Leg kick Solano >

Probably a valid comparison, but Kemp was serviceable from age 26-29. If Lantiqua can do the same thing as a backup/injury replacement 9th best player it's fine

Interesting - didn't realized Brandon Crawford was a FA. Man - I just don't see much hope for a dead cat bounce there.

Surely he is trolling us on Brandon Crawford. That guy is past his expiry date.

It's damage control. The other options are Matt Chapman for 9 years or trading Tiedemann for Evan Longoria

Either of those things would completely ruin Christmas.
