Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Pretty nice sign by Texas, Bochy might have a closer.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Why hasn't the MLB ok'ed it to give up Mlb draft picks via trade. Would make it so much better.
Jays333 Verified Member Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 I think Ohtani is getting off holding the entire league hostage
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Someone should make a Juan Soto thread
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Some big movers in the MLB draft. Cleveland gets #1, and the Reds get #2. Cleveland had the 10th worst record, the Reds had a winning record.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Is this the slowest winter meetings ever? It sure feels like it. That's what she said.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Someone should make a Juan Soto thread Someone should make a Josh Donaldson thread!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Fedde signed a two-year, $15 million contract with the White Sox on Tuesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Verdugo to the Yankees Seems to make sense for both teams. Yankees get a much-needed everyday RF who will love the short porch, Red Sox open up a spot to add an actual impact OF to join the mix with Duran, Yoshida, Rafaela, and Abreu
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Lol the Yankees need a serious infusion of talent and they go out and acquire a slap hitting corner outfielder. Good jobs guys.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Richard Fitts, Greg Weissert, and Nicholas Judice going the other way.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Lol the Yankees need a serious infusion of talent and they go out and acquire a slap hitting corner outfielder. Good jobs guys. I kind of like it for them. Yankees were running a parade of absolute dog s*** out there in the OF last year. An everyday 2-WAR RF raises the floor for them a fait bit. They'll make the big splash in LF if they can.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Here's a Yankee stream with Pete
Sorrow Verified Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 I wouldn’t be surprised if Verdugo is now part of a potential Soto package.

If they get Soto then Judge is the CFer and that doesn't seem ideal? Or maybe give Bellinger 200 mil to play CF?
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 I'm glad it's Verdugo and not Jung Ho Lee
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Verdugo made 6.3 million last year and is in his last year of arb this year might make 8 mill
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Verdugo doesn't scare us Cashy going to have to do better...
Laika Community Moderator Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 I wouldn’t be surprised if Verdugo is now part of a potential Soto package. Would make sense He's not worth much but the Padres are still trying to win
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Marco Gonzales plus cash to the pirates for PTBNL

Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Man am I gonna be annoyed if the Jays miss out on Ohtani and the Yanks get Soto and then also sign Yamamoto..

If they get Soto then Judge is the CFer and that doesn't seem ideal? Or maybe give Bellinger 200 mil to play CF? Bellinger makes a ton of sense for the Yanks. More than Soto. Judge shouldn’t be in CF if they wanna keep him productive into his late 30s
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 What would the pivot even be if Atkins misses on Soto and Ohtani? Snell or Glasnow? Fans won't be happy with Lourdes Gurriel and a 140M deal for Matt Chapman.
