Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Rangers may just simply run out of pitching. They may end up going out if they don't figure something out.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Signing Charlie Blackmon to a 1/13M extension in September is the most Rockies move ever
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Rangers may just simply run out of pitching. They may end up going out if they don't figure something out. If the Jays win 1 more and the Astros sweep the D-Backs, then the Rangers would still get in even if they were swept as they have the tiebreaker over the Mariners. If it’s a 3 way tie in the West, and the Jays clinch the 2nd WC, then Seattle wins the West and Houston gets WC3. Still so many ways this can end up. Jays better take care of business tomorrow.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Just looked at the pitching matchups for the next couple of days, what the hell are the Rangers going to do? Castillo and Kirby going for the Mariners, the only starter I see listed on ESPN is Gray on the final game against Kirby, but he's on the IL. Who do they have left? They might actually blow this.
travisinfla Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Saucedo and Thornton for the Mariners, thought I was watching the crappy blue jays bull pen of older days
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Moreno just demolished a ball off Presley and hit it to the deepest part of the park off the top of the wall, bottom of the 9th and the d-backs still in it down by 1
travisinfla Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 The Jays need to win tomorrow that's for sure.

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 ....game over Astros win 2 - 1
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 that's depressing, did we get the same control over varsho just realized Moreno isn't a FA until 2029!!!!
travisinfla Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 watched this mariners game from start, Texas blew had bases loaded and 1 out, 3-1 count, and s*** the bed. Next inning Mariners hit bombs.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 We are dangerously close to having to use Kevin Gausman in a potential must win scenario. Ryu is where our hopes lie now. I really don't see Texas winning either one of their final two games, it would be a minor miracle considering the great pitching Seattle is about the throw at them and the who the f*** knows pitching Texas is going to respond with. Verlander goes tomorrow so Houston probably gets at least one of the last two.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 that's depressing, did we get the same control over varsho Are you retarded?

It's crazy to think they started the season with a starting rotation of: Jacob deGrom Nathan Eovaldi Jon Gray Martín Pérez Andrew Heaney High risk high reward rotation and we now know how it worked out
travisinfla Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 if Texas gets swept and Houston and Toronto get 1 more win, then texas is out
travisinfla Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Are you retarded? I dont know how it works all those arb years, didnt think so, but dont need to be a prick about it
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 if Texas gets swept and Houston and Toronto get 1 more win, then texas is out Honestly would love that

travisinfla Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Honestly would love that Agree we match up worst against Texas if were going to get that far (and they did)
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I'm willing to risk not making the playoffs just for a chance at the rangers not making it. Get that win tomorrow mariners. Astros can lose. If we dont win tomorrow we will win Sunday. We won't need Gausman for the rays anyway. We will have bassit. The Rangers are a lock to get it in. I'm not sure what planet you're living on but look at the numbers.
travisinfla Verified Member Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 The Rangers are a lock to get it in. I'm not sure what planet you're living on but look at the numbers. your not walking the talk Mariners Win AL West Title if 1) Mariners Sweep the Rangers: 89-73 2) The Astros win one and lose one: 89-73 and Rangers out if: 3) Blue Jays win 1 or more games. 90-72 =If 3 way tie for 1st in West, the Rangers have the season series lead against the Mariners vs the Mariners have the lead against the Astros vs the Astros have the lead against the Rangers. So that tie breaker comes down to best combined win percentage total against those two other teams and Rangers would have lowest win % of all 3. Mariners vs Astros: 9-4 Mariners vs. Rangers: 5-8 MARINERS 14-12 Astros vs Mariners: 4-9 Astros vs. Rangers: 9-4 ASTROS: 13-13 Rangers vs Astros: 4-9 Rangers vs Mariners: 8-5 RANGERS: 12-14
