Mahle would be nice, but he can't come to Canada unfortunately. I'm sure also this has impacted other players/pitchers the Jays would target as well.

Jays should try to beef up the bullpen and go after a No. 4 or 5 starter for depth purposes. They'll be fine with a rotation of Gausman, Manoah and Berrios in a short series. Need to get some high K relievers.

He'll hit well in Houston. Mancini hit 35 HR's in 2019 and his bat is starting to heat up. The Covid shortened 2020 season along with battling colon cancer, Mancini has gone through a lot the past two-three years.

Yup, he'll mash with the left field porch.

Nothing, no whispers out of Washington Nationals camp, nothing out of the Blue Jays camp....

Textbook Atkins wanting everything super hush hush as part of a trade deal, and out of nowhere no Blue Jays media source leaks the deal but rather someone from U.S. such as Rosenthal or Heyman leaks the deal.... a la Shatkins & Co.

Scott Barlow from KC would be a nice get for the BP. Also like Matt Moore from Texas as well.

Jon Gray would be interesting though doubt the Rangers trade him after just signing him.

Recency bias and all but he blew two back-to-back games against NYY; iunno if I want that.

I've said this all along, we're stacked offensively.

Moore, please. f***, Gray.

I didn’t know this was 2019, and Mancini was still in his prime. I didn’t say he’s a bad hitter. He’s just not that valuable of an asset.

He's only 30-years-old and I give him a mulligan the past two seasons because of the Covid shortened season and him going through colon cancer treatment. He'll rake in Houston.

Not as a rental, I agree... I'll now admit I thought he had another year, lol.

Moore for sure. Give the Jays a left-handed arm in the bullpen who can pitch multiple innings. Also, I would roll the dice on Leclerc as well.

Awww yeah... and no, I don't own him in a single league, he's a hero.

Come on Syndergaard and Iglesias.

Should be able to keep all of our top 5 to 10 prospects by taking on that Iglesias contract but we'd still be getting an a very good high leverage arm.

There's many arms available, even from our infirmary.

Looking in the LOD confirmed my suspicion, you own him in the league.

A lot of BP arms available agreed, I think the Jays will at least bring in 2 guys!

They will almost certainly bring in a couple arms regardless of whatever other moves they make. As frustrating as it is to wait, this will likely play out favourably in their hands in terms of cost.

Did Atkins go on vacation or something? Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone are building a superteam and Ross Stand-Pat-kins is asleep at the wheel. WAKE UP ROSS.

Put your team of nerds to bed, roll up your sleeves, grab a bottle of bourbon and start shipping prospects out for veteran talent ASAP.

MLB source: @astros trading Jake Odorizzi to the Braves for lefty reliever Will Smith.

I feel their really in on Soto, and have plenty of deals set up. Like the most of MLB buyers.

What is the upside here for the Jays?

edit: other than giving the folks at sportsnet something to talk about.

He's a perfectly fine backend SP who costs a ham sandwich to acquire. Him, Kikuchi and Stripling can handle the 4 and 5 spots and will also battle it out for the #4 SP spot in the playoff rotation. He's nothing special but provides what we need to make sure we get into the playoffs.
