Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Ugh. I f***ing hate Romo. And he’s s***.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 World Series, here we come!!! Seriously though, I can already envision him being thrown into high leverage situations right away and costing us plenty of games... basically a cheaper Brad Hand lol
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 27, 2022 Author Posted June 27, 2022 Hadn’t looked at his FG page in years. He’s spent like 7 years holding a hair above replacement level and probably earned like 20M in the years since he was actually good. I respect the hustle
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Wait what, why... He has a negative WAR and is f***ing 40. Wtf.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 waste of a roster spot. just use minor league guys

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 I bet Romo will blow no less than 2 games against the Redsox/Rays this week. Be prepared for Charlie to use him in the 8th in a 1-run game
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Romo high leverage inning vs red sox coming up
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 WTF is Atkins doing? This is a legitimate waste of time and resources. Beasley probably gives you more and we've already seen him get shelled.
The Iceman Verified Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Fresh meat...I am OK with this. Up until this season dude was 1K and inning every year. Lets see if that slider has a couple more miles in it...
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Romo high leverage inning vs red sox coming up We all know it

Lets see if that slider has a couple more miles in it... I’m sure there’s several more miles in that slider… it will travel miles off the bats of guys like Devers, Martinez, Franco, etc. Lets hope he doesn’t face the Yankees at all
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Ross Atkins might actually just be trash at building a bullpen.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Ross Atkins might actually just be trash at building a bullpen. I miss Ken Giles
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 - The Blue Jays, who were down 8-2 in the bottom of the 9th against the Rays, come back to tie it after Sergio Romo gives up a game-tying two-run home run to Lourdes Gurriel Jr. - The Blue Jays, who were down 8-2 in the bottom of the 9th against the Rays, walk it off after Sergio Romo gives up a game-winning home run to Justin Smoak on the next pitch - The Blue Jays, who were down 8-2 in the bottom of the 8th against the Athletics, come back to walk it off after Sergio Romo gives up a single to Breyvic Valera, a double to George Springer, and a three-run walk-off bomb to Marcus Semien
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Sergio Romo gave the Blue Jays their two biggest comeback wins in franchise history and now gets to cost them games to make up for it. It's truly beautiful how life comes full circle! #LiveLaughLove

Teams like the Yankees and Redsox will tear him a new one
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Actually I feel like im now remembering, didn’t the Jays sign Romo in the past??
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Will he be using his walker on the mound?
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Surprised they would do this instead of just bringing up Eisert or Hernandez, or even Spraker has looked better lately. I guess they want a veteran guy, and maybe they don't want to throw any of the rookies straight into the fire vs the AL east teams...
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 The positives: all it costs is money and maybe he recaptures lightning in a bottle and provides some value. The negatives: The second part of the above is probably not true.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 "Sergio Romo hates fun and loves unwritten rules! I’m sure this will be a great fit for our young team that doesn’t give a f*** about either!"
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 He’s already the set up man. Proven closer in this league. Brad Hand 2.0. Just in time to blow a game or two against the Red Sox.
