Hopefully by that they mean a purge of graduates. Volpe isnÂ’t #5

They seem to indicate they've moved people around a bit.

"weÂ’ve reevaluated some aspects of the list by reshuffling the Top 15 slightly, moving some prospects up/down significantly who have earned it and adding a slew of new Top 100 names based on early returns through the first two months of the Major and Minor League seasons."

Rowdy Tellez 2022

246/.320/.514

wOBA. 320

wRC+ 130

Who is the new Rowdy Tellez? Some big left handed hitting dude hitting .150 who we can trade Trevor Richards for.

just tell all the hitters to pull the ball more. Bring back cito!

hit dat ball

I would sign Matt Joyce to a minor league deal. Even look at a guy like Mitch Moreland. At least DHing them would be better than starting Tapia or Zimmer on a regular basis.

As for trades, my main target at the July deadline would be Andrew Benintendi. Still young, left-handed bat, can play the outfield and hit near the top of the lineup.

As a cheaper secondary option, look at Mike Moustakas. Reds will definitely move him and eat some of his salary. Can play 1B/3B and is a left-handed power bat.

I like Josh Bell, though I think he'll be too expensive in terms of assets.

I'd insist on a more optimised lineup and give serious consideration to a managerial change if that isn't done.

I don't see major trades happening at this point, but we need to move on from Tapia and get a corner outfielder that can hit. It's one thing dealing with struggles from established guys like Teo or a catcher like Kirk, but having a black hole in LF is a glaring issue.

I believe you could get Ben Gamel or Tyler Naquin at this point for Tapia and a mid level prospect.

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Kelenic is busted

How is he doing in AAA

This reminds me a lot like the 2008 Blue Jays team and how they kept giving so many AB's to players like Brad Wilkerson, Kevin Mench, and Shannon Stewart for the first three months of the season. The Jays have held onto Tapia and Zimmer for too long. It's time to make an upgrade, even if it means making a minor trade.

Can the hitting coach team, *you're next Chuckles* shake the lineup up as Laika eluded to, call up Biggio and Lukes with Warmoth close behind, DFA Tapia and Zimmer(they should go unclaimed), fix this hole at the deadline along with a power K arm.

Pray!

Kirk is a good hitting catcher who might be elite defensively if you include framing. Not a chance in hell I trade him for Kelenic's sorry ass.

Hard to really grasp the emotional toll. Probably been a star ever since his 6u team all the way through the minors and then you get multiple extended mlb chances and then have to face the reality that you aren’t good enough. Can see how it’d break someone at least in the short term

Kelenic and Jo Adell

Need to form a support group

Don’t include the guy with .442 ISO in AAA. He’s working on things. Basically Pedro Serrano. Just need to find his Jabu

be patient....play another game. Who knew it was that easy.

Except one good game does not mean the ship is back on course and not still taking in more water than the bilge pumps can handle.

The one thing I would NOT do is bring up a green prospect like Gabriel Moreno and put undue pressure on him to help spark an offense that on paper is one of the best in the league. If they can't do it without him, they sure as hell are not going to do it with him. And as hitting is contagious, so is not hitting. Why expose him to that contagion right now??

The way to "spark" the offense (as much as it can be sparked) is by doing what Buntoyo did last night. Jansen and Kirk have to be playing everyday. When one catches, the other is at DH. Maybe when Biggio gets back you give him some DH/utility duty against RHP, but otherwise, the two catchers have to be in the lineup as much as possible.

With that said, we won't see that lineup again for at least a few games. Charlie's gonna Charlie.

Nah I think we see them both in there quite a bit. Maybe 2/3 of the time. They are both hot. Well I think Kirk is hot? Not everyone is in to little fat guys.

Pitch 1 - foul ground ball, third base coach has to dance. strike 1

Pitch 2 - high drive, 2 sections foul into the 5th deck - strike 2

Pitch 3 - pulled to short stop. Double play

Good aggressive at bat!

I would ask them to play better

Washington has some 34 year old Cuban. Hernandez. Left handed. Seems like he can hit a bit. Yadiel I think is his first name.

He's maybe the Cuban Frank Catalanotto. He might not be that good.

Should the Jays get him? Or maybe Ian Happ? What does Happ cost?
