Yeah, he had a really good run for a few years. Haven't been any nodak kids making an impact since those two.

Matt Strahm and Andy Young are both West Fargo guys. I played with Andy at Jamestown, he was a freshman and I was a junior.

Jays confirmed Stripling for Friday. Why did they have to ruin the Jackie Robinson day game? That's the one I'm most definitely going to.

I was pretty outraged at the thought of AAA fodder like Ross Stripling starting on Jackie Robinson Day. What an abomination. The guy is total crap, the Jays would have to be racists to do something like that. I think I even heard that Stripling was a January 6th insurrectionist. I almost canceled my MLB.tv package and deleted my account when I heard he was taking the hill.

That said, think about who we are playing and it will start to make more sense. The Oakland A's bat the great Tony Kemp at leadoff. Mr. Kemp is an African-American gentleman and I can think of no better way to honor Jackie Robinson than by having Ross Stripling pump 88 mph fastballs down the can for Tony Kemp. He's only good for about 8 homers a year but if he's going to hit one on Jackie Robinson Day it's definitely going to be against a gas can like Ross Stripling. Classy move by the Jays IMO.

A couple of years eh?

He was injured and bad last year, the year before that he put up a 122 wRC+, and the year before that he put up a 114 wRC+. The year before that he was in the minors

Biggio had one bad, injury plagued year where he was doing yeoman's work trying to field a position for which he is woefully unqualified.

Do you have reading skills?? I was talking about his ability to hit high velo fastballs not his overall hitting skill. It's been known since 2020 that he struggles against good velocity.

I don't know how you went from being one of the likeable people on this site to becoming by far the most annoying person on the forum in such a short time but it has to be a record. Impressive.

Beautiful state. I played my Juco ball in Montana in MC

Absolutely amazing performance by Vlad last night. Couple of gripes though, just gotta think the bullpen could use another leverage arm, Richards really hasn't been getting the job done so far. He was lucky not to have given up a homerun to Stanton, I thought that looked gone off the bat.

Charlie needs to wisen up when he sees his players obviously injured on the field. You could see the concern on his face after the Teoscar swing, that was the time to get him out of the game, no sense in potentially making things worse by letting him continue. It almost feels like a player needs to fall over dead before Charlie will remove him from a game with injury. On the flip side of this he allowed Vlad to remain in the game with a lacerated finger so I guess it's not all bad.

I think most of us have always believed that our pen is the weak link. I wish we had more arms like the Yanks do coming out of their pen. So many of our hitters were behind on those FBs. Such a great advantage

Yea the bullpen is definitely a gripe. The Yankees keep pulling relievers throwing high 90’s seemingly out of nowhere. And they go out and get other arms whenever they want like Miguel Castro.

Just want to see the Jays get in on some of that action.

Maybe it's just that time of the month for you. Either way, considering I get like five quote notifications from you each day at this point and they're pretty much all shitposts, I'm just going to block you now so I'm not wasting any more of my time reading your verbal diarrhea.

Congrats on popping my ignore list cherry though! I made it almost 10 years on this site without using it, which makes you a pretty special boy.

I'm maybe not the best guy to comment as I had a similar outburst against JimmyFelix1234 or whatever the hell he calls himself but it honestly looks like it's that time of the month for you given the meltdown we just witnessed. Terminator is obviously just having some fun with a bit of mild trolling, not sure it's worth this type of angry outburst unless I'm missing something.

Blocking someone who is being a persistent nuisance is having a meltdown? Mkay.

I was thinking this last night. JP Sears and Marinaccio seem like dynamite options at the end of their bullpen, while we have Anthony Kay, Stripling and Sauce

Given the overall tone of that post it's pretty hard not to imagine you pounding on the keyboard while red faced with veins popping out of your forehead while writing it.

Sounds like you might have some of your own issues you need to iron out.

Whatever man, rage on then.

I'm just saying, that's a pretty specific description you have there in your imagination. Kinda sounds like projecting.

Is that what you looked like when you had your "outburst" against JF?

Speaking of which, "rage on" is kind of a weird thing to say to someone that just decided to block the other guy and move on.

Feels like you really want someone to rage.

Is there rage inside of you, Max?

See that’s where you went wrong, gotta turn quote notifications off

lol, now this is probably a "me" issue but I actually like engaging with people and reading replies. I don't just want to shout my own opinions into the void, I want to learn and hear what other people think too.

It's probably a bad habit with how much negativity exists in sports fandom but I try to do the same on reddit as well, even when there are hundreds of replies on my posts.

It helps me understand people and helps me understand the sport itself better.

Just in the last few weeks there have been like six instances on here where someone corrected me or made me see something in a different way. And I appreciate that.

I'm just past the point where I want to keep people who are trolling or being deliberately antagonistic in my periphery. It's a waste of time reading or replying to those comments.

Don't change a thing TL - you're a beauty and almost everyone around here really appreciates you and your contributions to the board. Add trolls to the ignore page.

Term - would you f*** off already? Trolling a contributor like TL isn't cool.

I really have no reason to have beef with you, I was simply pointing out the irony of you telling somebody it must be that time of the month while you are acting like a drama queen in your post about blocking them. If this is enough reason for you to become so angry and defensive then that's obviously your prerogative.

Yeah, I have been to a few. I traveled around a lot with my previous job so have caught many jays games in person around different parts of the country. Do you catch them in MN?

All I've said over the past week is that maybe Greg Bird isn't very good (true), Raimel Tilapia has a weak arm (true), and that maybe, just maybe, Ross Stripling isn't going to ruin Jackie Robinson Day after all (he'll probably get shelled but it has nothing to do with Jackie Robinson). If that's considered trolling then everyone go ahead and put me on ignore! We all know you'll be back, my posts are grade A entertainment and I don't even charge for them!
