3-4 years yes. 17,393 over that time is pretty damn good.

And I'm a grad of Baruch College and New York University, worked for Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, and my grandparents survived the Holocaust.

Sick George Santos (If that's even his real name) reference!

You’d win that bet, but he wasn’t Deadpool yet, went by a previous handle at that time.

It was before this forum even existed, on the official MLB forums. Shut the whole thing down for like a day.

Looked at the roster, looks like we're about 2 bats short still, the #25 and #26 players. I figure we could use a pinch-runner defensive type and maybe a DH type.

Jansen Guerrero Kiermeier

Kirk Biggio Varsho

Bichette Springer

Chapman Lukes

Merrifield Lopez

Espinal

So right now it's two of Lukes, Lopez and Horowitz. Capra is also an option but he's not on the 40-man anymore so a move would have to be made. Barger will start in AAA because he's an actual prospect.

With two of our outfielders being lefties now, Lukes makes less sense than he did before. He'd probably be a better guy to call up if KK or Varsho hit the IL.

But we basically have everything covered with the 24 guys who are locks. We've got 3 Catchers, 2 Centerfielders, 2 Shortstops, etc. The final two spots can really be used on whatever we want.

Signing a wily vet on the cheap and hoping for a dead cat bounce would make some sense.

We have three CFs.

Oh yeah, I think I met you at the Loose Moose, right?

No, it was a british pub, first one Jenny organized. Didn't go to the Moose meet up, that's further downtown.

If we're being cheap, I'm thinking a bat and a speed player. Grossman and Locastro are my choices as free agents. Or somebody like them.

Good thread on the Jays baserunning

speed and defense: the two things that don't go into slumps. Makes a lot of sense with the new defensive rules.

Amazingly, of those 17,393 posts only 3 or 4 of them were actually any good. That's a Batting Average of 0.00022305247 for anyone who is counting.

In order to hit the Mendoza Line, you'd need to have about 4,000 good posts in a row.

Good luck Jim.

So I'm above replacement level on this board.

I don't post often and saw the Bauer thread was close....

But is there any chance the Jays sign him. I'm not really curious about whether they should or not, but whether or not they might.

Varsho runs like Kirk but faster lol

He does have very awkward running mechanics but he does move and gets to everything hit to him in the Outfield.

Blue Jays' Ryu targeting July return from Tommy John surgery

https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2528338

Hard to rely on someone coming str8 from surgery but him being a free agent does ensure that Ryu will working his ass off to perform before hitting free agency. Hopefully Kikuchi can hold the fort down until then.

He'll be sitting 96 when he gets back and will lead us to a World series.

You heard it here first.
