Lol it might have something to do with Biggio and his .430ish OBP since returning from AAA. Might want to keep that in the line up somewhere.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 If the Berrios trend stays true, he's having a good outing today.

I'm just wondering if they're trying to show that he's capable of playing a competent first base to a potential trade partner.

A throw in in the upcoming Montas deal.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Trading one of the only LH bats in the organization doesn’t seem like a great plan unless they plan on replacing him with someone better Been on the need for an impact LHH bandwagon since last year. I like Biggio and always thought he could be/is a big sleeper part of this team. But against high V in the playoffs, even though he is raking now, he isn't something I'd keep a lock on if we got more win now back. He looks good right now. Good to see.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 It has to be Jansen that gets traded out of the three catchers. Thing is though, I don't think he has enough clout to get back something of higher end value in a one for one. He needs to be packaged.
peterkim Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Blue jays need to make up their mind to sell some players who is not performing under the expectations 1. nate pearson - he injures a lot and should be traded some people saying he will be another synthergard but nope 2. kikuchi - he cannot find his performance he cannot stay more than 3 innings per game 3. Gueriel jr - lots of people think he is good but in fact he is another hole for blue jays lineup defensively he is good but not as offensive ( 4 home runs.. wow..) 4, richards - he is not reliable for bullpen 5. matt chapman - he is not anothrr donaldson , but just another brett lawrie type 6. biggio - he is way under the expectation cannot hit at all.. he has potential at another team but not with jays - we need to hear from some teams in them not one by one trade them but needs to package them for good players if necesary
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 7. Jose Berrios Signed a 7 year extension and immediately turned into a bumpkin
peterkim Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 i think some teams wants these players so better to package them for good player . another mistake jays make many times is they trade one by one

InsideThePark Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Yes please. I would also like to package Kikuchi, Richards, and Pearson for a really good player. Where do I sign up?
Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Sell guys who are over performing not under performing. I mean, if you mean under performing literally as in they are playing worse than they can.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Who had Kirk being our best player when the season started?
keggy Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Who had Kirk being our best player when the season started? With Guerrero and Tapia off to a slow start Kirk has been a pleasant surprise this year.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Are there any aces on the market at the deadline? I’m sick of the pretty good guy with control thing. If we are going to sell real prospects, let’s get an ace.

Honestly the only guy to me that would fit that bill is Alcantara from Miami and he's either not available or would be extremely expensive to acquire.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 The Angels still suck ass and only have 1.5 more years of control over Ohtani. There is an ace AND a power left handed bat

There is an ace AND a power left handed bat I don’t think they’ll trade Ohtani. Arte Moreno is a clown, and Ohtani puts butts in the seats. He’ll make them hold Ohtani until his contract is up
