John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 They don't have to, there's exception to the Covid IL... oh right, forgot about that. Good call sir.
InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 They don't have to, there's exception to the Covid IL... That's a weird rule. I get it taking you off the 28/26 man roster. A week with Covid taking you off the 40 man but a month with an oblique injury not doesn't make sense to me but whatever. Guess thuis buys us a few days before the move has to be made then

bendera3 Verified Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Presentation matters In my shop we charge the same for each so you're paying the same amount for a bone you can't eat. Owner loves it . Not trying to break your balls or anything just trying to give you information. Meat cutting is like the one thing I know more about than normal people.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Monkey? Haven't specifically thought of that. I can't imagine I'd ever be in a situation to make that call, but that would be tough to justify.

How does it work exactly: Capra comes up, added to the 40 man roster, then when Biggio comes back, he goes back to AAA and off the 40 with no waivers/outrighting needed?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Kirk gotta be nursing some kind of injury no? This is the 2nd game this week with Collins DH and Heineman Catching…
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Kirk gotta be nursing some kind of injury no? This is the 2nd game this week with Collins DH and Heineman Catching… Yeah he's sat quite a few times the past week.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Veal is clearly the superior steak. Quality veal will give anything else a run for its money. Osso buco falling off the bone. Yum

When Biggio is off Covid protocol, they would need to open a spot on the 40 man roster for him, either by DFA or transferring someone to the 60 day DL. Can't get around that. They could DFA Biggio also, but that's not happening any time soon. Chances are, if nobody is going to the 60 day DL, then someone gets punted via DFA. Likely candidates being Heineman, Zimmer or Capra depending on the status of other injured Jays

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Fat is not a recognized injury.... yet! It’s a “disability” and they don’t like that word anymore

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 I think Walker is a good pitching Coach but too much is made of the Robbie Ray turnaround, and the narrative that he is going to do the same with Kikuchi. There is a much longer list of arms he hasn't been able to "fix". Like a hitting Coach there is a limit to what they can do. "Fix" Pearson instead please. More upside than Kikutchi who is giving us 2-4 IPs of mostly mediocre starts. Same as last half of 21 for Seattle. Maybe we tried and just didn't get him, but was Rodon was less risk on his 2/44 year deal? That guy when healthy is just ridiculous.

Pearson’s problem is he’s a walking jenga tower and that can’t be fixed. Innings eaters are important and I don’t think Kikuchi will be this bad going forward. He hasn’t even looked THAT bad, he’s just gotta cut the walks down a bit. He got f***ed one game by errors and looked good in the Yankees start.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 There's going to be a ton of roster moves with cutdowns coming and Teo, Jansen and Ryu all due back soon. I hope Craig Biggio's son likes Buffalo!

harvey16 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Gotta say I'm extremely pleased that we finished our first month 14-8! Considering we are missing our #1 catcher, our cleanup hitter and our #3 starter. We have also had an extremely difficult schedule to start the season with the exception being Texas. Our run differential is even with an expected W/L of 11-11. We've been good, but also extremely fortunate to win so many 1 run games. I complete opposite of last season. This is definitely a 100 win team! Once our bats get going I see a lot of wins in our future.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 In what world are we missing our #3 SP? Well technically he did start game #3…. But yeah he’s not our 3rd best starter. Him and Kikuchi can battle for #4/5 (maybe #6 if you think Stripling is a better option) Everything else he said was bang on
