Didn't he kick the bucket?

Last I heard his blood pressure got so high after the daily nukes I was dropping on him (aka my quote replies) that his doctors forced him to retire from TV and he is now living in a retirement home in Florida. To be clear it brings me no joy to say that and I don't wish him any further harm but I do not regret any of my previous actions. In fact, if anyone knows how to get a hold of him I'd be interested in reaching out to him simply to ask him what the hell he was thinking coming here and challenging us like that.

They won the AL East in 2014 and should have been minding their own business but instead they had to come over here and pop off. Big mistake because shortly after the entire franchise went into a tailspin and now they are perennial basement dwellers. What dumbasses.

The Blue Jays new Anti-Vaxer Hit List has claimed its first casualties:

Are they antivaxers though? Haven’t heard them speak out about it. Maybe they just aren’t interested.

Snead is a weird one, didn't he pitch for us in Toronto last season?

He might’ve been off the roster before they moved to Toronto

They are willingly forfeiting money instead of getting the vaccine… is that not considered being anti-vaccine?

Not wanting to get a just approved COVID vaccine does not equal Anti-vax.

Just say players who are not vaxed and leave it at that. Why instigate stuff we are not allowed to debate on the board, it never ends well.

Yes, it's sort of like if you don't particularly like apples, you are by default anti-fruit.

If someone has refused to take a COVID vaccine, it doesn't mean they're crazy anti-vaxxers.

Regardless, they're all making 6 figures in USD. If they miss 3 games in Toronto I'm sure they're not going to lose sleep over it. Same with someone like Aaron Judge or another higher end player.

Players like A.J. Puk, Austin Allen, and Kirby Snead aren't going to get vaccinated so they could just play three games in Toronto.

I don’t think people who aren’t vaccinated should be labeled as anti vaxers. I think people who are openly against it and spread misinformation are anti vaxers.

Are people anti skydiving if they don’t want to jump out of an airplane?

It’s the wording he used that bugged me. That’s all.

Okay, the full range of opinions on what qualifies as an anti-vaxxer is now on display in here. Unless you have something truly groundbreaking to add on this topic, let's move on please :)

So Tilapia and Collins both had multi-hit games tonight and Biggio threw up another 0-fer. Maybe Ross Atkins knows what he’s doing after all?

I mean maybe? But also SSS

Sss aside, the fact they chose to go give ABs to those guys over Biggio to start out with shows something. Lucky for CB (bad for the Jays) the big injury came right away to put him in the mix again

Well it happened… Tapia is leading off. And George Springer is not in the lineup for some reason.

I apologize to the people when I argued that Tapia wouldn’t get 500 PA’s

Does anyone know why Springer is not in the lineup? This is NOT a rest thing...he would be DH. Hell they have an off day coming up and is just around the corner. This is NOT good news, I fear the worst.

PLEEEEEEASE do not tell me another Blue Jay has gone down with injury!

Montoyo thinks they should be able to beat the As without Springer altogether

Kirk sat yesterday and Chapman the day before. This is probably just preventative maintenance. All of those guys have injuries in their recent past.

A's are a perfect series for early rest to compensate for short ST.

Apparently Springer is available off the bench so it is likely a legit rest day. That being said, Tapia leading off is a head scratcher.

ps. watch him go 3 for 4 now.

Which makes sense but we have a day off Monday and Springer is one of the only players hitting right now. I feel like its a weird time for an off-day.

I'd be THRILLED if he went 3 for 4, but it doesn't make the move any less asinine.

I really hope Charlie is a puppet who is just doing what management/analytics team wants him to do like some have said. I just don’t want to believe that the Jays hired somebody this bad.
