I don't see it. Ramirez is an elite player and would cost elite prospects, likely Moreno + Pearson and some lesser pieces. I think Shatkins will be reluctant to give up that kind of value after the Chapman and Berrios trades already took some bites out the system's depth.

I think this is the likely scenario. The Guardians are cheap but they seem to still have ideas about contending this year because the Central is always winnable. If they're out of it at the deadline then trading Ramirez becomes much more likely.

Moreno would have to be in the deal. Biggio would be in the deal. They would ask for Martinez too, not sure what else. I don't think it's going to happen.

I think I would do Moreno and other pieces not named Manoah or Martinez. It would hurt but we would have an All-Star team for the next 2 years

The one positive to moving Moreno is the Jays have Jansen for 3 more years and Kirk for 5, so they wouldn't be creating a short or long term hole by including him in the deal. But if he's as good as people think he is/will be, then it would be a tough player to trade away.

Gurriel is so replaceable - I can't imagine anyone values him too highly now with only 2 years of service time remaining. He needs to be a 125-130 wRC+ hitter to be a difference maker.

He is replaceable in a roster sense. But it would make half the team unhappy so I doubt they trade him

Yeah, but he's cheap for those 2 years, which Cleveland values, and there's still potential in him.

 

I don't know, I would hang-up at needing to include Moreno or Martinez though. You could probably send my proposed package with some tinkering and acquire Ketel Marte.
