I'm told the proposed rule changes (pitch clock, no shifts etx) aren't going into effect until next year, and that's not necessarily a given.

The 94 season stands out as the worst. The Astros and Red Sox winning tainted championships due to sign stealing was also pretty bad. Some would say the steroid era, but I don't think it was particularly bad on the whole.

Apparently not… I think it says the owners have to give 45 days notice and it can’t be changed during the season. I guess it might be in effect 2023

I mean normally it’s a no-brainer in normal circumstances but wonder how it goes in lockout. Maybe owners refused to discuss anything even on the DL to not make it seem like they were caving? Idk
