The tunneling on that and the fastball must nearly identical until that certain point where it just disappears. Looking at it's raw data its vertical and horizontal movement are basically average to below avg vs the rest of the league. Good velo separation though at about 10 mph, previous years like 2020 that separation was only around 7mph.

More importantly - how in the f*** is Zack Wheeler's sinker on that list? It seems incredibly rare to see a type of fastball generating that high of a chase rate isn't it?

The Rays having a ton of important injuries and still either hosting the WC game or winning the division is ridiculous. They will always find a way.

 

We're 5 up on the orioles in the loss collumn, 4 behind the Yankees in the loss collumn. I want the Rays to beat the Yankees and drag us closer. How about we take care of the depleted Rays ourselves in the 9 games we have and win the division ourselves.
