That's why I was so mad. I picked up Keuchel for a spot start in my H2H fantasy league (lmao) and his outing was like 3x as bad because of how disgusting their defense was.

Tommy Pham on Luke Voit's slide into Tyler Stephenson: " If Luke wants to settle it, I get down really well. Anything. Muay Thai, whatever. Like I said, I've got an owner here who will let me use his facility. So f*** 'em. I'm out."

Looks like incidental contact on the play to me. Not sure how people see it as dirty.

He slammed both arms down across Stephenson's head didn't he?

One of the more hilarious baseball-adjacent stories you'll read this year.

I'm not going to link the whole thread, just the first and last tweet in it (because it's funnier that way):

The team is getting exactly what they deserve.

Is it a “Major League Cleveland Indians” thing as their point though? I don’t know the details

Looks clean but he did get his hands around Stephenson's head a bit.

Definitely seems to be some excessive contact to the head, but seems to be more the variety of split second decision of how to handle the collision. No bad intention

Can find the video directly here, it's trending on Reddit:

Good example of what an actual psychopath on a baseball field looks like.

Assuming there’s no backstory on it

Not saying its acceptable just would make more sense if something happened before that…

A few people on reddit noticed that the umpire starts walking between the two players when the hitter is between second and third so it's pretty likely that the guy chirped the pitcher with something.

But yeah, either way, that's a nut job reaction.

I don’t know. Is it that much more crazy than charging the mound? It’s just you rarely see it the other way around. Yeah, the batter gets hit with a baseball but it’s more about the chirping than anything else that causes the fight

Of course it's worse. This is like the sucker punch version

This is much worse. Charging the mound is retaliation to the pitcher's already act of violence of hitting the batter with a 95MPH projectile.

There's a huge difference between chirping at someone and throwing at them.

To be honest - if you're going to get that upset at a player, I'd rather this reaction then the version where they wait until the guys comes to the plate again and then you throw a baseball at him (or even worse when you throw at a teammate for something someone did).

I can get the sucker punch part of it, yeah. How didn’t he sense him? I’ll have to watch it again

This type of hit regularly annihilates and injures football players, who are jacked, wearing protective gear head to toe and usually see/anticipate the hits coming.

The fact that the kid got up and still finished his home run trot is wild. He was completely blindsided with a better spear than you'll see in pro wrestling.

"Edge with a spear! Edge with a spear out of nowhere. As gawd as my witness, Edge has literally just speared him in half! Bah gawd, I've never seen anything like it."

Yup.
