Maddon on intentional walk of Seager.

“I thought by walking Seager, it would avoid the big blow,” Maddon said. “And just to stir up the group, quite frankly. It's not something you normally do. I thought by going up there and doing something like that, the team might respond to something like that."

WTF is how they responded.

IÂ’m sorry but if you have no confidence in your pitcher at all to get Seager out thatÂ’s a big issue. You just canÂ’t do that lol. Of course its Joe Maddon as well.

He does some insanely dumb s*** for such a "Great manager".

Boone getting tossed after the walk-off walk lol

It takes some sort of gall to whine as much as he does after what happened in the Blue Jays series.

The yanks always seem to be whining even when umps give them 1.5 runs advantage .

Joe Maddon has either completely lost the plot, or was 100% a product of having great rosters in TB and was mostly reigned in by management there. Between decisions like this and using Matt Duffy, Max Stassi, and Jack Mayfield to hit cleanup, he's embarrassing himself.

Maddon is probably singe handedly responsible for destroying Ricky Romero.. When Maddon started stacking his lineup with lefties vs a LHP, that was what made the damn burst on Ricky Ro's career..

Ricky Romero's knees were single handedly responsible for destroying Ricky Romero. Maddon was probably living rent free in his head though.

Yeah

Fairly confident now that the Tampa FO was making him look good

He has done little in Chicago and LA to hold up his reputation

Congratulations Maddon - you've also now completely lost the confidence [in you] of your entire roster.

Yeah, I’d imagine they’re all talking about it behind the scenes. What a douche

He did manage the Cubs to a World Series win in 2016 but ok.

Also rode Chapman into the ground and almost blew game 7. He got lucky, cubs were such a solid team you almost couldn’t mismanage them

Pretty much every manager rides their best relievers into the ground during a long postseason haha.

Agreed, Cubs had such a solid overall team so anyone could have managed the team and still had the same success.

At the end of the day, he still managed them to a World Series after how many years? I don't think he'll ever have to buy dinner again in Chi-town haha

Ok somehow I am just finding out that JP Arencibia does colour commentary for Marlins games.

I guess everyone has to start at the bottom at some point in their careers.

He's married to Tomi Lahren, he lives in Florida, enjoying the beautiful weather, I think he's doing just fine!

I read an article where they just started really enforcing the pitch clock in some milb league. Batter has to stay in the box etc and after day 1 it seemed like a big success. Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later for Mlb

Should be. He’d be a very strong ROY candidate obviously. Doesn’t look like there’s anything left to prove
