Pretty awesome seeing when two vets who used to be awesome still contribute. You got Wainwright still being a boss at age 40, allows a leadoff triple, then induces a weak pop up and Ks Yelich (suxxx now though), but then gets beat by the other wily vet Andrew McCutchen who punches one up the middle to drive the run in.

Twilight? That was 5-6 years ago. He's in the nightmare of his career now.

A tidbit from the Baltimore Sun:

 

The league’s new collective bargaining agreement does allow a player who earned less than a full year of service time in his first season to be credited with one if he finishes in the top two of either the American League or National League Rookie of the Year voting.

If they don't win a World Series with both Mike Trout and Ohtani on their roster, will be one of the biggest disappointments in baseball history.

Forget about a World Series, they can't even make the playoffs with those two. Even in 2020 when more than half the league got in, they couldn't.

It's just such a waste from a baseball fan's perspective to see the prime of Trout and Ohtani not even in the Postseason.

 

Angels FO should all be fired. You have two of the best players in baseball to build around.
