Yes he is and good comp. Weird when prospect lists completely miss on guys like him.

I mean he is going to get paid in the open market so i can see him not signing. However the way Cashman aired the dirty laundry hours before the season opener and this little quip i have a hard time seeing him coming back to New York.....In the end though money will talk.

Not sure the Angels will be the ones to overpay. They have Rendon's and Trout's contract and Ohtani is a FA after 2023, I think they'll try to do everything in their power to re-sign him.

 

My guess is the Padres. Wil Myers is a FA, so they'll have space in RF for a bad contract.

The Yankees next year will be paying $94.5m to Stanton, Donaldson, Rizzo, DJ, and Hicks. They have no real starting catcher. Judge and Gallo are free agents. Not looking good for them.
