His contract value would crush most of these guys signing 1 year deals in the 6-8M range, easily. There's a cheap team option for the 3rd year, as well. IMO, obviously.

I had a strong feeling some team would be stupid enough to offer this type of deal to Bryant given the Boras representation. On a reasonable 4 or 5 year deal I could see some value, but for a guy who likely maxes out at 3-3.5 WAR per season this is insanity.

I give the edge to Colorado, because they have money and they're still incredibly dumb with what they do with it.

Yeah, that might be what the report was alluding too when they said he had an offer that would have given him more money, but turned it down to go to SoCal.
