dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 most of romano's sliders that he threw looked like f***ing meatballs, good thing he throws 100
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 These are the kind of things that build team momentum. I guess not quite as well as starting a huge brawl but I’ll take it!
The Iceman Verified Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Jays won their World Series but Red Sox still won the season series. See yall next year. Jeff Passen said it well: That is a bad loss for the Red Sox. Blew a 7-2 lead against the Blue Jays. Boston has lost 10 of 13 -- five of them to Toronto, which is now one game back of the Red Sox in the loss column. Jays now have a +123 run differential -- second best in AL, fourth in all of baseball.
JonMc Verified Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 This is a season defining win holy s***. Only if our Jays push on and get the WC spot. Otherwise it's a good win and no more. Sorry but grim experience has taught me not to get over excited. Nice way to go into a west coast trip though. Who isn't enjoying what The Jays has served up this year?
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Alright let's all get drunk and disappoint our families tonight
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 What an amazing series Feel like we're winning the games that we used to lose IYKWIM LOVING IT

Laika Community Moderator Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 The Boston Broadcast: do not throw that pitch again. Barnes throws it again. Boston: yup, that was a gutpunch. Link?
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Ball game. Now comes the west coast losing streak and season over. Nice call.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Would’ve been awesome have to see live. Jelly of all the dudes that went. Cheers
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 What an at bat by McGuire to give George the opportunity. Reese has exceeded my expectations this year by a mile.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 wholly s*** they won There's always at least one who turns the game off...lol.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Does Springer have the clutch gene. I mean he was pretty damn stellar for the Astros in the playoffs.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 There's always at least one who turns the game off...lol. Lol I had it on but left the room... Came back for the homer though.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 I know. I’m a pessimistic fan. That’s what decades of losing does. Can't blame you. Years of heartbreak will leave scars.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Springer OPS since the ASB: 1.218 He'll be the Vladdy of the second half.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 I literally came in my American Eagle underwear when Springer hit that home run and I still have a half boner

Oh Passen, thats the same guy on trade deadline day that said Jays should not have traded for Berrios as they have to pass 4 teams
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Whitlock owns us, yet Cora has more confidence in Barnes
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Obviously a clunker by Ryu today, it happens when the soft tosses don’t hit their spots… but curious, does anyone know the staff ERA when Jansen catches vs. the others? That’s supposed to be his only calling card but seems like staff has been just fine. Him and Biggio should just stay away
Scion Verified Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 The Red Sox subreddit celebrating the Yankees loss and reacting to the Springer home run at the exact same time hahaha (starts from the bottom). There was a douche bag Red Sox fan sitting in our section who wouldn't shut up all game. As fate would have it the Springer HR was hit about 10 ft to his left and like a true Boston fan he left before the 9th could even start. The entire section gave it to him on his way out, it was amazing.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Must be good for Jays to be home. If I had went to a Jays game in Buffalo when they played Bos or NY, I would’ve been pretty pissed that it was an away game
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
