  1. would be crazy not to resign him. A great 5th starter and as you said potential pen arm,
  2. i was but trust me, in your 20's you think it can happen every year, in your 50's you know it dont
  3. I have barely posted this year, i had been very sour on our management, but today i have to say i was mistaken. The moment this team they built gave us i will never forget. it is so hard for all of us now, but i cant immagine how hard it is for this group of lovable players. I am over 50 and the last time i had tears was the passing of my father. i thought i can make myself not care about this team but faith had to remind me how much i care,
  4. Ans that was the fun part, even if the big club was not peaking, we could follow with excitement some unexpected prospects. Have not felt that for a while
  5. the other thing i found differently with him, he was proactive, with atkins, i feel he always reacting to a failed approach.
  6. And this is why they have not felt the pressure for long, they are buttered by their own owners media
  7. Bro this is MLB, a multi billion dollar industry. If you can be fooled by negotiations tactics 101 then you dont belong as Gm or president
  8. if you are crazy then we both are. Fandom always is in the heart, however if the team becomes unwatchable does not mean we stop having an opinion. On the contrary we should have a more vocal opinion. I did what i can when i was upset. I am not kidding myself to think me cancelling the season tickets mattered to anyone. But if many start being disatisfied, then they will take notice and we can finally move into competent management . And management matters, we seen it with the raptors, heck we are seeing it now with the habs, after they had been horribly ran for decades. hopefully one day soon enough, we can have our jays properly managed and then at least i can look forward to spring training again like i used to
  9. lol and here i thought he is at home studying the analytics of having 5 starters pitch one inning every game
  10. I did not say i did not watch a single game. I said i did not watch a complete game, I feel the product has been atrocious and could not get myself to finish 9 innings of analytics crap. It is irrelevant to me if you think i am fan or not. As i see it , i used to enjoy my team and now i dont. And reading these forums, with the exception of a few that want to defend shatkins at any cost, most are hating what they are seeing. . I guess you one of the exceptions. Enjoy the show :)
  11. i am delusional about the past, hope you enjoying the present.
  12. I had season tickets during those years, yes they were bad, but we had an aggressive local Gm trying every angle to improve the team, Good drafting, exciting future, made up for the lousy results then. Now, shatkins, ruing the core, and having nothiing exciting to look forward to except failure after failure. The club had life back then, now it is analytics and throwing each other under the bus.
  13. if he would just resign, i would forgive him. BUt at this stage it is on rogers. he brought this circus to town . Hey at least i am no longer spending on the jays (for a few years now) .... though i am a fan at heart and i want to cheer for my team. i went from season ticket and watching most out of town games during AA peak year to last year not watching a single complete game on tv ! Sad for me being the baseball fan i am
  14. lol with the s*** management what did we expect. They should write a book, how to suck life out of a baseball fanbase 101
  15. Not sure if this was brought up , but do you think the LA fires and all the disputes around them can affect his decision? Something like i much rather be in Canada then California ? Just curious what posters think
