So why'd he post that? NVM-- reading the article now.

Yeah, she was far more reasonable.

Top 20?

I'm a big fan, but that seems a stretch to me.

He currently doesn't crack the top 30 in WAR or wRC+

I'm probably being a touch to optimistic though, but I do believe Kirk/Moreno/Martin/Groshans/Martinez will all play and excel at the MLB level.

Pre arb players as good as Bo are top 20 assets. Other teams would give their left and right nuts for him.

The Athletic had a round table sort of chat with the writers for the Rangers, Braves and Jays about trading for Gallo. This is the packages the Rangers writer suggested to the Jays.

Kaitlyn, as for the Blue Jays, I have three proposals for you:

Gallo, Kyle Gibson and Kennedy for Lourdes Gurriel Jr., Simeon Woods Richardson, Orelvis Martinez and Alejandro Kirk.

Gibson, Kennedy and Triple-A infielder Charles Leblanc (a Quebec native) for Woods Richardson and either Gurriel or Martinez.

Gibson and Leblanc for Woods Richardson and Kirk.

This type of exercise only works if the writers have even a remote grasp of trade value. I'll bet The Athletic regrets this.

I wonder if Newberg was a ghost contributor to FG's trade value series this year (yikes central).

Kenny Ken said this was going to happen last night on MLBN... that guy's sources are second to none. No info on the return yet.

Should be a pretty good return for the Twins there's a lot to pick from the Rays near term and lower levels. I wonder if they look to move Buxton too, haven't heard any progress on their deal.

6.4 WAR through his first 162 games as a 23 year old making pre-arb.

but yeah, totally not a Top 20 asset in baseball.

Jays werent making it this year. But I hope they add someone for a morale boost.

If they're not making it, and they add someone, it better as f*** not be a rental

A cheap rental reliever isnt a big deal.

What would be the point if they're not gonna make it. That's just s*** asset management. They should be looking to cash in on their own FAs if that's the case.

Great move for the Rays. I wanted the Jays to get Cruz, but Grichuk and his .270 OBP will forever be playing everyday on this team, so I just have to get used to it.

I'm really getting sick of watching Grichuk. He needs to be moved down in the order. I don't think the Jays could have topped that offer to be honest. Fairly aggressive move for the Rays. They are going for it.

They're not doing that, even if it pretty unlikely they dont make it.

Wow, Ryan and Strotman is a massive return for a rental Cruz. But Tampa Bay is so deep they HAVE to trade prospects and everyone knows it

Now if we could just cash in Semien and Ray.....

Probably either going to extend them in the off season for what will be looked at as fair deals or get comp picks when someone else signs them.

I highly doubt the Jays sell only 4.5 games out of the 2nd wild card.
