Don't think Kirk has had back to back starts all year but he clearly deserves that today.

 

Assuming Biggio will be back at 3B even though Espy deserves another start there. Maybe give Semien his first day off and put Biggio at 2B? I think Semien's in long term contract mode and wants to be out there as much as possible so doubt that happens.

Prior to yesterday's game, the Blue Jays had the 27th ranked position player group in the majors (offense/defense) with a 92 wRC+ and 1.7 total team WAR.

 

In a single game, they jumped up to the 18th spot with a 100 wRC+ and 2.6 total team WAR.

 

Alejandro Kirk alone raised his wRC+ from 73 to 128.

I'm so stoked I found a fix for my comment toolbar issue. It's been like 3 years now where I couldn't see the tool buttons that help format posts or even use keyboard shortcuts (like Ctrl+B to bold text) so I've had to manually write all of the BBCode in all of my posts for that entire period of time to make things like game threads. That was one of the reasons why I wasn't as active on here anymore just because of how annoying it is to have to manually format everything.

 

Today I made a new account on here and cross-referenced the settings page between that profile and this one and realized formatting was broken for me all this time because I was using the "Darker" forum theme. It used to be fine but I guess that functionality broke for that theme some time ago. Back to the default theme now and I finally see the toolbar again.

I want to be able to look at a lineup and not dread Joe Panik's name being on it. If Semien needs a day off, then start Espinal at 3B and Biggio at 2B.

 

I can't blame Buntoyo here because he's in over his head and a minor league manager will love s***** big league vetrins. Atkins needs to alpha up and drop Panik from the roster.

Travis Bergen is pretty fascinating. He's all fastballs, shades of Sean Doolittle (and to an extent Jake McGee) but clearly not nearly as good.
