Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Chatwood just undressed Odubel Herrera.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Chatwood just undressed Odubel Herrera. We need you in BBDL. I think.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 What was this game scheduled for 7 or 9? If 7 this is over. lol
The Iceman Verified Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Bird's pitching has been slick! YUP, the ZERO BBs stand out for me.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 this lack of ST audio is killing my baseball boner. The real thing can't start soon enough
Ray Verified Member Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Borucki sitting 96-97 mph with the sinker, and then drops an 88 mph change. Just unfair lol
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Alvarado's stuff is so daunting, he'll never get to it, he doesn't really know where anything is going.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Jose Alvarado is like the same pitcher as Borucki. Maybe a slightly more extreme version of the power sinker lefty.
Ray Verified Member Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Groshans actually got good wood on that 99 mph sinker (off the bat at nearly 100 mph exit velo). I've been impressed with his approach as well, and he seems to do well against velocity even when overmatched.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Jose Alvarado is like the same pitcher as Borucki. Maybe a slightly more extreme version of the power sinker lefty. You think? Borucki has more control, no?
Ray Verified Member Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Romano in throwing absolute heat. This bullpen is stacked. David Phelps is going to be pitching the 6th inning lol. Haven't even see Yates yet!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 You think? Borucki has more control, no? It remains to be seen if fireballer Borucki out of the bullpen has much control of his stuff. He certainly didn't last season.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Romano's stuff is filthy, literally Ken Giles-esque. These hitters are guessing up there and they simply cannot touch him.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 You think? Borucki has more control, no? We will see. He might but last year he was wild as f***.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Ok come on now. Borucki is a 3 pitch lefty holding 97. What are we doing with this guy? Borucki has quite the injury history and he's clearly throwing max effort all the time out of the bullpen, otherwise he wouldn't be throwing 97 and not knowing where it's going. I'm not sure he would've been average as a starter or if he could handle the workload. He's fine in his current role, maybe push him to be a 2-3 inning reliever but the stuff might not hold for that long.
The Iceman Verified Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Romano rushing...much quicker delivering after the squat. out of rhythm
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 I'm glad we received that, feed. I'll take it every home date at Dunedin.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Romano Ks three in the 9th. 13 Ks and only 1 BB for the staff today. All MLB regulars more than likely. Impressive work.
Ray Verified Member Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Great pitching today. It's only Spring Training, but everyone was throwing strikes and throwing hard. It's what you want to see
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Romano rushing...much quicker delivering after the squat. out of rhythm ST bruh...
