3B Biggio

 

DH Tellez/Kirk (and occasionally Vlad or an outfielder who needs an off day)

Josh Palacios just ripped a deep double over the head of the centre fielder.

 

Jonathan Davis is probably still ahead of him on the depth chart because of his glove, but Palacios is getting a lot of love from people in the #BlueJays org lately...

Chavez Young is having a fantastic camp defensively.

 

He just made a catch in centre and fired home to nail the runner who tagged up. Put the throw in the perfect spot. #BlueJays

Palacios is interesting mostly because it is clear at this point that the organization really likes him.

 

His numbers have always been solid but not attention catching; good AVG and OBP and age vs. level but just average power numbers and an honest amount of swipes. Scouts also never seem to say that he's a sure CF. Sometimes those kinds of minor league performers turn into solid MLB players. Maybe the hit tool is legit and can carry him, maybe he adds strength, maybe the defense is better than scouts think.

Yeah, looking at the numbers, I was amazed he wasn't removed from the 40 man, but it's pretty clear that the org likes him enough that he survived on the roster when I expected him to be lost... There's something there that I'm not seeing, I guess. I did read somewhere that he was very impressive at the alternate site last year, so that's not reflected in the numbers obviously.

Everyday I see highlights and boxing scores pisses me off that they can find a way to telecast the game. It's f***ing 2021, set up an iPhone and put it on YouTube or something at least lol.

Whats even worse we're in a fricking pandemic right now.

There is literally nothing else to do but watch TV, and NOW they decide to limit TV broadcasts

I'm kinda disappointed that MLB.TV doesn't televise spring training games unless they are live even after I got charged like $80 for half a season even though a full season is like $120.

Jays are among teams showing interest in Jake Odorizzi now. Fair amount of action there for by far the best starting pitcher still on the market. He’s been willing to wait for the right deal. Astros, others also in play.

Odorizzi still holding out for 3 years or more and no team is willing to give it to him. I would probably be fine with a 2 years. Probably max 2/30 Hes decent but non exciting option.
