I like Stroman more than most it seems... probably because I'm not on social media lol. I doubt our front office takes back anyone from the 2015/2016 teams... they made it a priority to get rid of everyone from that team since they were mostly AA supporters and never seemed to get along with Shatkins.

Looks like Vlad took the lead back over Semien. Trea Turner wins MLB WAR. Dodgers acquired best player in baseball and best pitcher at deadline won 106 now 1 game play-in.

 

Also the explanation isn't great but basically Semien 20 runs better on defense, Vlad 20 runs better on offense and they end up almost tied.

People obsess too much over decimal places atop the WAR leader board. The error bars on fWAR are such that any gap in WAR that small is negligible. You can argue that anyone between 6-7 WAR was the best player in baseball this year and have a sound argument.

This is false, cropping dog ears for his breed is common to prevent infection among other things. Stroman is a douche, but not for this.

Its been said before many times but Grichuk..so much suck this year for $10.4mm. Gave him 545 PAs and he gave us 0.4 WAR.

I was just on Fangraphs salary page and its showing Manoah being a free agent in 2027....He didnt come up to the big club until May ....Im sure he is a free agent in 2028 because 21 shouldnt count as its not a full year of service. Am I wrong on this?

It was, he was over a win for sure. He stunk, no second half Grichuk this year.

Yeah the websites tend not to update the "free agent year" things until the offseason so they can be off. They should control him through 2027. Free agent before 2028.

Best bet would be to get an equally bad contract in return that has a bit more value to the Jays. Maybe the Brewers would trade JBJ for him? At least JBJ would fit the team better as a 4th OF (LHB, can legit play CF) and money with buyout mixed in is about equal. Either way, that's the type of deal that you would have to expect for Grich. That 5 year deal feels as long as Pujols' deal with the Angels.

Watching Brantley yesterday for HOU its so apparent why the Jays made a run at him. His LH bat would have been ideal for our line up.
