Bluebombers Verified Member Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Yankees had problems scoring runs before us, But their usual suspects bite us in the ass again. What can u say about Urshela for example, The gift that keeps on giving.
xposbrad Verified Member Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Semien and Ray should get a nice return but it also frees up a position for Biggio to play steady at Yep, they could hopefully net a solid prospect for that package. This is obviously not even close to the year to go all in or keep trade chips. We happen to have 2 soon to be FAs performing very well, hopefully we don't waste that opportunity to get something for that.
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 "It's not about his timing whatsoever. Were you alive when he came back too early and got hurt again? Right, because playing games at AAA is far less strenuous on his body than MLB games would be.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Right, because playing games at AAA is far less strenuous on his body than MLB games would be. This is literally true for a rehabbing MLB player. He doesn't have to hustle because the games don't matter. They can do whatever they want in terms of taking him out early, days off, etc because the games don't matter. It is absolutely, one hundred percent, less strenuous than trying to slide into an MLB environment

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Author Posted June 20, 2021 Manoah had some dips in his RPM today.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 (edited) George Springer gets pinch hit for in tonight's game. Doesn't feel like a good sign. Hopefully it's nothing. Edited June 20, 2021 by Krylian

ShowtimeBelli Verified Member Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 Need update on Springer immediately
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Author Posted June 20, 2021 Need update on Springer immediately Some speculation that it's because the field was a little wet and they were just being safe since he was playing in the CF today.
ShowtimeBelli Verified Member Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 Some speculation that it's because the field was a little wet and they were just being safe since he was playing in the CF today. Hope you're right!
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 If Springer gets hurt again this season can go f*** itself.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 Some speculation that it's because the field was a little wet and they were just being safe since he was playing in the CF today. That sounds like a very reasonable reason. Hope it's true.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 Some speculation that it's because the field was a little wet and they were just being safe since he was playing in the CF today. Buffalo Manager said yesterday that Springer wanted to play a few innings today and get some innings in Sunday as well I believe
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Author Posted June 20, 2021 For anyone still nervous about Springer from yesterday:
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 Heart skipped thinking for a split second he was leading off for the Jays today LOL
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Author Posted June 20, 2021 Heart skipped thinking for a split second he was leading off for the Jays today LOL I felt the same for a fraction of a second. But the name "Breyvic" pulls you back to reality pretty quickly.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Author Posted June 20, 2021 (edited) This is pretty frickin' cool by the MLB. Happy Father's Day to all the dads in our community. Edited June 20, 2021 by TwistedLogic
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Author Posted June 20, 2021 Front office is focused on acquiring bullpen help but Montoyo isn't going anywhere.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Author Posted June 20, 2021 Teoscar is back, Hoying optioned. Borucki is throwing off a mound, will soon progress to side sessions. Merryweather is about to start throwing off a mound. Dolis threw a bullpen yesterday, has minor symptoms of numbness in his hand (?) but apparently not a cause for concern. Matz is going to get tested on the 23rd, could potentially return in the Marlins series.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Author Posted June 20, 2021 Man, big news day. Atkins optimistic they'll be back in Toronto at some point. Lots to work through first.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 Got to wonder how much the 10% or so of anti vaxxers in MLB affect the chances of Jays to Toronto.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 And likely starting out down in the order. I agree with this.

I don't live in Canada, but man that sounds like a s*** show. Some baseball stadiums are allowing full capacity now. The NBA playoffs are in front of packed arenas. Yet the Jays maybe, possibly, if everything goes right, might get to play in Toronto some time in August with no guarantee of how many fans will even be allowed in, combined with whatever quarantining rules they'll force on the players (which they'll say no to). What a mess.
