Remember when the Mets paid James McCann (0.7 WAR) $41M instead of paying Realmuto $115M (3.9 WAR)?

 

If they win tonight they will be 3 back of the WC and 5 back of the division.

I’m fairness, if it was near $115m at the time they were taking, he’d prob be a Met

the mistake had many layers. the first one was not waiting out Realmuto / jumping at McCann.

Aaron Boone is bringing in Andrew Heaney with bases loaded and 1 out in what's only a 2 run game in the 5th. This is a complete embarrassment and the Yankees do not deserve to make the postseason with moves like this.

Both of these teams are immensely unlikeable. A bunch of f***ing losers who are going to miss the playoffs showing each other up in a sloppy 4-hour regular season game.
