Spicyyyy

Apparently it was Manny basically telling Tatis not to get himself tossed arguing over ball/strike calls. Tatis was called out on strike 3 on a pitch outside the zone and Tingler stepped in and got tossed before Tatis did.

Tatis should listen to experience, but too much of a young hothead.

Well yeah, if there’s anyone with a ton of experience being a hothead, it would be Machado. There’s entire videos dedicated to his douchebaggery.

So what you're saying is, Tatis found a role model?

What Machado is saying there is right though. Can’t make it all out but something like hurting the team if he gets tossed. It’s not all about you, and everyone already knows you’re the best.

That brings up a really interesting point. There really haven't been any generational pitching talents come up in the last 5 years or so. The same few guys who were dominating the previous gen have kept it up. Degrom is interesting cause he's the best right now but is already into his 30s so how long can he keep it up? If Buehler and Burnes keep it up for the next 5 years or so they could be the next gen of HOF pitchers but there aren't any like 25 and younger pitchers who project like that. Glasnow maybe but now 1.5 of his peaks years are gone. Urias? Hes still only 25. Bieber? Kinda forgot he existed for a sec.

With so many future HOF type position players coming up in recent times there might be a imbalance in pitching talent vs hitting talent in the league for the next few years.

I think it takes time for these things to settle in. Gerrit Cole wasn't looking like a HOF level pitcher until he was 27 or 28. It seems like you have to be good until your mid to late 30's to be a HOF pitcher... Verlander, Scherzer, Kershaw, etc.

Burnes could be a candidate if his arm doesn't break and he sustains his peak for a few more years.

Must be fun coming into the season being the most hyped team and won't even make the wild card

I'm really interested to see if/how a universal DH hot stove shifts more talent into the NL. There is a huge drop-off in quality after the top 3 teams in that league. Even the NLE leader is trailing AL seed 8 in W-L.

Obviously a DH rule isn't the whole story, but it'll at least spread the butter a bit more evenly.

The elite arms that don't fall off by 33 yrs old or so make the HOF. The rest don't.

I mean, it's the same with hitters. If you turn into a pumpkin at 29-31 you're probably not going to be in the hall of fame. Just that pitchers are way more likely to break as they hit that age.

Everything he said was right, it's just the delivery of the message. Marcus would just give the disapproving eyes and a shake of the head and the message would be delivered.

Marcus does that to FTJ and he blows a gasket and starts screaming.

Yeah basically Machado is getting redemption in life. “Do as I say, not as I do”. “Don’t be a d-bag like me”

Cole was always great though, but the pitching coaches in Pittsburgh insisted on pitching to contact and Cole was coached not to miss bats. It’s no coincidence he pretty much ditched the sinker in favour of his better pitched the millisecond he left the Pirates.

Sure, the sticky stuff probably helped also, but he always had these types of results available to him, Pittsburgh just failed to utilize it

Yes, so as I said, he wasn't looking like a hall of fame pitcher until he was 27 or 28.

Ray’s Future Ace making his debut tomorrow night monkaS

f***ing Pirates man.

Glasnow is hurt right now but the Rays could realistically have Glasnow and Baz as their number one and 2 starter. And possibly have Chris Archer in the 5th spot lol. All while Meadows is in the middle of the lineup. What a f***ing trade. That’s so embarrassing for the Pirates.

It might be the worst trade in baseball history. I think IN CONTEXT it was awful and that makes it so much worse than stuff like FTJ for James Shields, because in that context Tatis was just a lottery ticket.

Ohtani pitching today. Somewhat surprising with the Halos out of it. Short leash likely.

Or not- leash I mean

Eddie Rosario hit for the cycle today, and only saw 5 pitches.

He hit an 0-1 double in the second, a first-pitch triple in the fifth, a first-pitch homer in the seventh and a first-pitch single in the ninth.

I know, arm soreness to shutdown for the season to starting today is f***ed.

And he threw a ton of pitches today too lmao
