Is anyone watching the Dodgers/Mariners game? The Mariners were in a close game, and they inexplicably left Will Vest in during the middle innings for way too long. 5 straight Dodgers batters have reached and it's now 5-1 instead of 2-1.

I feel like they just threw the game. What is Servais thinking?

Welp

Canario is off to a great start this year!

Yeah, Clevinger and Canario could turn Sexy or Not! lol. Yarbrough is sending good vibes, we'll see now in the Bigs for Gilbert. Congrats, never saw this year as a promotion. Yet this year is odd. lol

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the MLB Players Association has filed a grievance "stating that MLB did not act in good faith last year to play as many games as possible."

According to Sherman's sources, the MLBPA is seeking an estimated $500 million in damages. Major League Baseball, meanwhile, has filed a counter-grievance but would not comment to Sherman on the specifics. This all ties into the looming collective bargaining agreement negotiations this winter, which are sure to be highly contentious. Sherman writes that "MLB would almost certainly factor in the potential of losing half a billion dollars in a grievance into any financial offer" when it comes to the new CBA. Buckle up.

f*** BOTH SIDES. These ****s better not ruin the league right when the Jays are positioned to be a dominant franchise with sustainable success.

They will. Both sides stopped doing things for the good of the game years ago.

Jays are T - 5... in run differential, just saying in the MLB @ +27.

With all the injuries, and still several hitters have not got going yet...very, very good.

Yeah no faith the league is very poorly ran, they stopped doing what was best for the game a long time ago.

I came to this realization the other day. :(

This petty ******** is so ridiculous from both camps.

Well, lets make sure we enjoy this season. Looks likely to be an entire year off in 2022

I went into this season figuring that next season was not happening. The players are not going to forget that they did not get paid in full last season and they are going to want to make it all back in the next agreement and its not going to happen. No other league has had more work stoppages then the MLB and guess what its going to happen again.

They are all vaccinated. Just goes to show vaccinations do not prevent infection, only limit the risk of serious illness.

Exactly

And hence why we still can't travel freely even if vaccinated :(

Not to mention he got the single shot Johnson and Johnson one, which isn't nearly as effective. This is also the 2nd time he's gotten Covid.

Really nice work there. Crazy how many close calls he got exactly right as well, down to a half inch.

I don't think the technology is 100% accurate. It has produced some very odd strike calls from time to time.

That's been known forever but many so slow down transmission as well.

Not sure about the slow down transmission part. If the vaccines allow the body to eradicate the virus faster, yes, but offset by the impact of people going back to "normal" as they get vaccinated. As evidenced by NYY.

Dozier and Abreu just collided on a pop up to the catcher, pretty brutal. I don't think I've seen that before?!

Both guys smashed their heads together and are out. Abreu looked worse for wear.

Giolito's getting killed by the wind blowing out to RF, two routine flyballs it seems just kept carrying for HR's.

Yup, xBA .160 and .190, Welp!
