Emmanuel Clase is throwing a 100 mph cutter right now.

I can't believe you guys want to see less freaks of nature like this.

I don’t. I want to see less Chaz Roes and Felix Penas.

MVP finalist Ryan Tepera gets a 3 game suspension.

What’s the story behind this?

This is probably the best explanation

But Chaz Roe is a different look! There's very few pitchers like Chaz Roe in the league, his cartoonish slider is fun to watch.

Chaz Roe is awesome.

I enjoy a good fastball as much as anyone, but if you don't enjoy a ridiculously slow curve from Greinke or Darvish then you don't like baseball.

Some of my favourite recent Jays memories involve Burhrle carving up opponents with a fastball in the 80s.

Ryu's a far better watch using all four quadrons of elite command, that dude plays chess on the bump.

Ryu is a treat to watch. Give me that any day over a guy pumping 100 mph heat with no idea where it is going. Hopefully Pearson can be a combination of both soon.

Tepera says "Back in the day, matters were settled on the field," Tepera said. "There was no malicious intent. It was a message that we'd had enough."

I find this to be such ********. The act of throwing a baseball at someone else on purpose has ALWAYS been childish and stupid. No different then when a star player would get roughed up in hockey and the two enforcers would go fight.

If you want to be tough and settle something - walk up and punch Woodruff in the face.

Love going from crafty deceptive Ryu to hard 98+ from the pen

That really messes with hitters

I find the art of pitchers throwing at batters being the biggest pussy move there is. Totally agree that if you have a problem then go up to the player and do your thing. Pitchers act like they're allowed to be enforcers of the game because they can whip a 95MPH ball at someone. Batters should be able to take their bats and take their swings at pitchers too then.

Yeah I'd love to see someone retaliate at Tepera and helicopter a bat off his head and then at the press conference talk about how that's just part of the players policing the game themselves. See if Tepera agrees or not.

I've thought this for years. Bring on the helicopter bats! Very easy for a bat to just "slip" out of a batters hand in the pitchers direction, happens all the time but is usually off to the side.

No jays tonight but Rays/Yankees and Dodgers/Padres should be fun

Somehow Rays and Yankees are both under 500

Luis Cessa got rocked

Yankees pitcher got f***ed by all the soft contact that inning. Not one hard hit ball and the rays end up scoring 2 lol.

well...now the Yankees now know how it feels to be the jays playing the Rays!!

Having said that...do the small things right and the big things takes care of themselves!
