I honestly don't remember two weeks in a row like this.

It still doesn't make sense to lose a key Friday night and that demo. Schedule a four game series and the off day on Monday if need be. If it rains, game 2 becomes 1 and game 4 gets played on a Monday. Or Have opening day on a Wednesday the Thursday is a the "rain" day and you have your league playing baseball on a Friday night when kids actually can stay up to watch it, adults can finally sit down an watch it, so you don't lose that key weekend night to an NBA or NHL game etc..

Missing two Fridays in a row to get your season kicked off, or basically starting, stopping, starting stopping is not logical to me from a business/commercial/fan perspective.

By the way, how is your boy Roark and your WHAT,!!!?? The Jays signed him to a two year $24 million dollar contract, he CAN"T suck, how dare you say he will be a bomb! I must have been new to baseball....

People that bought tickets for the home opener want to see the home opener. You can't just reshuffle everyone's tickets for the other 2 or 3 games.

And Roark was consistently a 2+ WAR pitcher before he came to the Jays, what's your point? The front office obviously thought he would continue at that level or they wouldn't have offered him that kind of contract. Are they all new to baseball?

Then start the season on a Wednesday, have a Thursday, which is many times a traditional off day, as your "rain" day. Don't not have a full slate of baseball on a Friday night after the season has started.

Opening day on a Wednesday would work. It's only the last few years that the Thursday opening day has been a thing, creating this problem. Having all these off days on a Friday is really stupid.

You're taking this hard, man, why? I smell some fantasy fury, lol. These things always prolonged in April, especially the Eastern and Central parks.

I agree with this

Well, you are right about the Fantasy part... LOL

I just also know as a father, during the weekdays, I had to tell my kid to go to bed in the 3rd or 4th inning when I was finally able to get him to watch a game, (even though he loves to play little league). Friday night is a night I can sit down and watch a game with my kid.. (I realize the Blue Jays are playing tonight, I am saying in general) Saturday afternoon games are difficult with kids activities and Sunday afternoon is generally family activity.. I realize it is only two Fridays, I just think that is two too many....

I think it's because he's losing Week 1 to a rebuilding team in Bored.

Hahahaha... I knew it, c'mon man don't be a pedant, you haven't even missed a game. Fantasy FURY!!! :D

No mention of the Musgrove no-hitter?

Strange how Pirate pitchers turn into studs after they leave Pitt.

I'm cool with that performance, damn!

No mention of him drafted by the Birds, we lost that deal.

The Diamondbacks just pinch hit Bumgarner in the 9th inning of a tie game with a runner on 1st base. Holy f***.

They have Stephen Vogt on the bench. I can't believe what I just witnessed. Are they trying to lose?

To recap,

- The Dbacks clawed their way back from 5-0 deficit against the Reds to tie the game.

- They get a 2 out walk in the 9th to bring up the pitchers spot.

- Torey Lovullo opts to pinch hit.. Bumgarner, he of a 44 wRC+, instead of Stephen Vogt (an actual decent hitter!) or Geraldo Perdomo.

- Bumgarner pops up to the pitchers mound and the inning is over.

- The Dbacks lose in extras in the 10th inning.

I'm probably going to lose sleep over this.

“Bum’s a good hitter, he’s a real good hitter, and I was looking for a little bit of slug in that situation,” Lovullo said.

"I wanted to end the game right there. I was looking for him to drive the baseball and I’ve seen him do it a long time"

Damn. I was thinking he was from the same school as Buntoya, and wanted to save Vogt and Perdomo for later innings.

9-4 Rays over Yanks after 4. Kluber got Klobbered again!

And more bad Yankees defense

Are the Rays better and the Yankees worse than projected? Too early to really tell of course but I wonder...

No walks either

Only baserunner was a HBP

So close to a perfect game...

Musgrove hasn't given up a walk in 15 innings so far this year. Just 5 walks in his last 40 innings dating back to last Sept.

Congrats to Musgrove. Great Jays draft pick.

Gerrit Cole 2.0

What do the Pirates even do with pitchers. The only one they ever fixed was Happ

Archer 92 mph fastball and a mix of sliders and chageups

Edit: And suddenly pulled from the game in the top of the 3rd at his own request. Oh-oh :(

That wasn't good he was stretching out his side or back, maybe oblique. If it's his arm again he's in big trouble.
