The only thing that changed was the decision that was made to make sure everyone on the board lined up together and marched to the Ivory tower or else. I objected while you championed the move as much as anyone. After one month of protest, faced with the fact of sticking to my principles or losing my favorite work time distraction, I sold out

 

I also knew there was no way in hell you were going to make it under the new rules, even while you were saying how great the changes were

Yeah the last 2-3 pages of this thread are garbage. Absolutely no baseball discussion, just people whining about mods and being banned.

Charlie wastes Romano far too often when we have a 4+ run lead. He needs to be used in more tie games or even if we're down by 1 or 2 runs in certain situations IMO. I suppose the problem will sort itself out once we get rid of deadweight like Thornton and add Pearson/Merryweather to the pen.

I thought Thornton was going to turn it around this year after the surgery. Looks like he has some bone chips lodged in his brain as well.

Was just enjoying a game watching Vladdy's bat come alive again, and that all changed the instant i heard Thornton was warming up for the 9th. I mean was there nobody else who could get 3 outs in what should have been an easy win? I don't recall hating a Jays manager as much as I do this guy. I just don't understand the logic behind most of his decisions.

What new rules? The politics thread was cancer. My biggest mistake was thinking that the people who were morons in that thread would somehow not be morons outside of it. I also didn't anticipate that my favourite poster would turn into a tyrant when given mod powers.

 

A politics thread now would be pretty fun, but it's basically a place for people to dunk on one another rather than having meaningful conversation. I do miss hadith story time with connorp, though.

Well, why one? There are 8 to choose from. Ontario has the highest number of native turtle species in Canada. You'd think it would be Quebec since Turtles are basically frogs with a shell, but nope, it's us.

For future reference this was in the middle of our undefeated September and 9 game winning streak. The type of decisions that cost you a playoff appearance.
