There was a rumour that the Pirates wanted Rowdy Tellez + prospects for Joe Musgrove but the deal fell through. Can’t confirm source though.

I think that would bother me less than digital ads on the field. I find digital ads very distracting. I can't not notice the ads on the glass that hockey starting using a coulpe years ago.

It’s somewhat garish for sure but teams and MLB will do whatever they can to try and make up for the massive revenue shortfall from lack of fans in the stands

It seems cheap to blame Manfred for inevitable stuff like this. Digital ads aren't even new to baseball. Has there not been a green screen behind the batter at Rogers Centre since before Manfred? It used to bug the s*** out of me because there was a bit of tearing/artifacts on the feed around the moving batter.
