I'm glad to see they're taking every preventative measure possible to ensure this virus doesn't work its way further into the rest of the league. This is the right call during a global pandemic. We cannot be risking lives of innocent people just because Juan Soto has tested negative.

Boston soon to be 1-4 with a team ERA over 6. There's going to be some good hittin' for us between them and the Orioles. Perhaps the 2 worst pitching staffs in the major leagues.

Why if he is free of the virus then he is not endangering anyone else, others have come back like Freddie freeman, they don't wear masks.

If they aren’t going to follow the States protocol of self quarantine for 14-days. They should atleast wear a mask on the field for 14 days. Not a whole lot to ask for. Pretty reasonable.

If anyone hears, knows anything on potential Dylan Carlson and Nick Magridal call ups, please post. I was thinking that with Pearson debuting today, that other top prospects might also since the extra year is issue is now past. However, I have not heard a peep on anyone except Pearson?

Certainly the Marlins situation shows what MLB has put in place is not necessarily sufficient. As with anything new and particularly as complicated as this situation, there are going to be excesses on both ends of the spectrum, too cautious in some areas, too lax in others.

 

It doesn't matter what the league puts in place if players don't follow the rules. Players should be suspended without pay for the year if they have major infractions.

A lot of doctors have come out and said that the tests are about 50% accurate. Apparently the false-positive rate is very high.

 

There isn't a specific test that can test for a covid-19 antibody.

 

It's a very flawed system

Is that even against rules? Bauer took his agent out for her birthday and they posted pics in a busy restaurant. Other players have posted pics from their homes.

Soto has cleared all of the covid protocols, but is waiting on MLB's clearance to be reinstated in the lineup. This is going to be interesting if MLB lags in their response while games get played without him.

From what i’ve heard, the players just have to follow the rules of whatever state they’re in. So no rules broken, just stupidity. Also doesn’t surprise me that Bauer would dine at a busy restaurant, we know his political stance.
