glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 So how f***ed are they getting with start times in the first round, I might take one day off at the least Jays/Rays will definitely be getting the earliest start times every game they play.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 It's going to be so hard going back to Buck and Pat next year. Really hope Tabler retires or Sportsnet has the balls to replace him with Shulman full time.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Now THERE is a man who has never visited the SportsNet comment section... Or this site for that matter. Tbqh I am shocked Don Cherry uses Twitter or the internet in general

Is there really a need for Buck and Shulman to be at the game live? No travelling means Shulman probably stays on full time.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Just realized the Jay's have a small chance at catching NY...

The Iceman Verified Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Four-seamers The surprise in the research was that velocity was the second-most important facet of a fastball, second to vertical movement. So this isn’t a list of the hardest-thrown fastballs in the league. Best Four-seamers of the Year. Sorry it didn't copy well. the numbers are # of pitches and the QOS_PLUS Taijuan Walker 315 117 Walker Buehler 282 117 Taylor Widener 222 114 Patrick Sandoval 229 112 Kyle Hendricks 215 112 Minimum 200 thrown t might be weird to see Taijuan Walker at the top of this list, but he gets a lot of movement on the pitch, and he’s got decent velocity, and the results kind of agree — it’s his best pitch relative to other pitches of the class. Yeah, his slider gets a few more whiffs, but it gets below-average whiffs for a slider, and his four-seam gets nearly twice the whiffs of an average four-seamer.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Jays haven't named starters for the series yet, godammit. Also here's some BJ Stuff... https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/blue-jays-key-decisions-make-coming-days-post-season-nears/

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I'd go with Ryu/Walker/Shoemaker (depending on his next start/or Ray) Haha... I meant this series against the O's, but I agree.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 old white guy no use computer? Enough with the stereotypes..lol. He was complaining about people using their phones at games like 15 years ago
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I wonder if they just stick with the current setup. Is there really a need for Buck and Shulman to be at the game live? No travelling means Shulman probably stays on full time. No chance I think. Most broadcasters already struggle with not being in the ballpark to call the plays and at certain points they have no idea what's happening. I really hope we at least stick with Dan for home games, as he's unlikely to want to stay on full-time if it means travelling. Unfortunately someone else will have to accompany Buck on the road and very likely that someone will be Pat Tabler.
The Iceman Verified Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Tabler looked like a propt up corpse last night. thought I was watching Weekend at Bernies
bronson44 Verified Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I didn't even realize it will be Buck and Tabler for the playoffs. That sucks.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I didn't even realize it will be Buck and Tabler for the playoffs. That sucks. Get ready for the BIG and STRONG boys.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I didn't even realize it will be Buck and Tabler for the playoffs. That sucks. Really, why?
bronson44 Verified Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Really, why? Dan's doing ESPN radio for the playoffs.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Dan's doing ESPN radio for the playoffs.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I didn't even realize it will be Buck and Tabler for the playoffs. That sucks. Gross, Tabler is awful.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Tabler looked like a propt up corpse last night. thought I was watching Weekend at Bernies I thought the border was still closed?? How did they get Pat across?? Or will he and Buck be on zoom ? They sort of do that with the Yankees broadcast. Paul O'Neill is on zoom in Cincinnati I believe.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Maybe they can have Don Cherry in on zoom too... was Don's cancellation lifetime or just a few months??
bronson44 Verified Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Maybe it will be Buck and Kevin Barker
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I thought the border was still closed?? How did they get Pat across?? Or will he and Buck be on zoom ? Yeah they could do that, but I'd assume they'll use someone in studio.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Maybe it will be Buck and Kevin Barker Jesus, that's worse.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Jesus, that's worse. I might be forced to watch the Tampa feed with their boring ass announcers if that's the case.
