I'd say it screams professional eating contest winner. The chick is hot though so it's easy to ignore the big bastard in the center of the photo.

Hey Scrooge. Based on your reading comprehension you are a very low IQ individual. The stats were in a reply to a post that said zero evidence he could regress, not to you or in general. You don’t post anything intelligent baseball related on one side of a debate or another.

You post, moran, f*** off etc. You are the sober version of drunk Spanky, except I actually like Spanky and he contributes baseball related content.

People are using the fact he finished high in Cy Young voting and that his age and velocity don’t matter because his stuff ages well.

My point about Dickey is that he won the Cy Young, not just a runner up, and I heard the same thing about Dickey and he didn’t work out so well.

Try getting laid or something Dude, you are a very angry poster.

It is Christmas, we are supposed to spread goodwill and cheer.

Merry Christmas!

Man you're stupid.

He has arrived.

His first words out of the airport was apparently: “Cold, Cold!”

Some Korean fans waited at the Terminal 3 for his arrival. Before leaving he made a short statement: “I’d like to thank the Korean-Canadian fans that came here today to greet me; knowing that there was a great Korean-Canadian community here in the city played a big part for us in deciding to come here”.

That's what Kawhi said before he noped out of toronto.

Did he fly out of Seoul?

Toronto is only like 2 degree colder than Seoul in the winter.

I’d like to think he said that in jest, play on the stereotypical image of Canada to Koreans which is that it gets cold as f*** over here. As you said, Seoul does indeed get just as cold as Toronto over the winter months, sometimes even worse.

It’s a different kind of cold though, as they have a lot more humidity over there than here... kinda hard to explain.

Yes, I know what you mean in the humidity. It definitely seems to make for a deeper cold feeling. More damp.

Toronto has the 3rd-highest Korean population of all North-American cities (Los Angeles and New York City being 1st and 2nd respectively)

Now just get one of those K-Pop bands to play at games and they will sell out every night. Literally.

LOL.....Jays were the most hated MLB team in Korea because we knocked out Texas 2 years in a row :D

There’s that but the article did not mention the Kim incident in the wild card game; I think that may have even more influence on our negative image as it involved the player directly.

I wouldn’t necessarily say we were the “most hated team” over there; for sure over those years we played the role of a heel, but after that we ended up going back to being largely ignored and forgotten. Plus, Choo is actually not universally liked over there nor nearly as popular (partially because he never played in KBO, and also due to the drinking and driving incident). Kang was actually many times more popular than he was, before he fvcked it all up by also drinking and driving + assault allegations.

Oddly when Oh was here there was still little to no attention paid to us, unlike at his time at St. Louis that got decent coverage (probably because he always remained a middle reliever here; he closed for a while at STL iirc).

Ryu though is at another level of popularity; starting pitchers over in both Korea and Japan are by far the most popular players.

More humidity than Ontario?

Relative humidity should be higher in Seoul on average I think (could be wrong); especially more so in the summer though , one of those “I am sitting doing nothing yet I am sweating buckets” type. I specifically avoid mid summer trips there now.

Winter cold feels more “to the bone” there somehow when temps really drop, though I don’t think it gets real cold (-10 and under) as often.

That's news to me and I live in South Korea.

Any chance you guys trade for Choo since EE has signed elsewhere? :)

Dat contract tho.

We're hoping Cavan Biggio can develop into a similar on-base with some pop kind of guy.

Actually, if Jung Ho Kang remained in form as he did in his first few years in Pittsburgh, then he would have been someone that could have been useful for us right now I think (Playing decent 3rd/back up 2nd base with some good pop). Too bad he's all but finished though.

I'm going to go to every one of his games until I get a hand on his wife's used coffee cup or something and clone a few of those for myself.

Yup, in Markham.

Had a look and it seems South Korea humidity levels are about 10% higher than Ontario in summer. That's gotta be f***ing awful!

Just make sure you see the Korean Girls when they were 15 to 18 so you know what they looked like before the dozens of plastic surgeries they all have. Otherwise you'll winder why your kid looks like a troll.
