I'm going to say he gets called up on Sunday April 14 to join the team in Minnesota for his debut on Monday April 15. Story breaks at 2 pm on April 12 so Bucko can announce it during the broadcast.

 

Was going to go to Minneapolis to watch that series when there were rumblings he might debut there.. seems highly unlikely now.

 

I predicted that date before the oblique injury, I can't see that happening now, likely story breaks on the 29th and his debut starts on the 30th in LA if he doesn't hit a snag along the way. Hopefully sooner...

My guess is April 26th against the A's. They'll want to debut him at home IMO in an attempt to boost attendance a little bit. In a weekend series I could see him giving a nice little boost to the attendance numbers.

If he’s not rusty or injured he should be up here in a week.

He looked very good today against Scranton, much better than his outings in Dunedin. You could’ve put a pitching machine on the mound and his line would’ve been the same.

 

He didn’t swing at anything out of the plate, and absolutely crushed anything near a strike.

Scranton even changed pitchers to one of their elite relievers that threw 95 heaters before he crushed the 3 run homer.

 

Baseball just looks easy for Vlad

Angels April 30th. So natural to go to the place where his Dad played 6 seasons and won his MVP. There happens to be this guy on the Angels wearing his Dad's old number that is a fun story too. It's a f***ing marketing dream story...if it wasn't a Tuesday in the middle of NBA and NHL playoffs.

If Sogard and Brito are hitting leadoff in their first games, there is no reason for Vlad to not slot in at 2 or 4 in his debut.
