Ugghhh... Yelich broke his kneecap on a foul ball. :(

 

That's just horrible. Best season of his career and 1GB of a Wild card spot.

Go to Ditka's Steakhouse if you are in Chicago for one more night. I figured it would be a lot like most namesake restaurants and be terrible value. But it was great atmosphere and good steak. that was 2014 though.

 

The Harry Carays I went to last night was actually Harry Cary’s Italian, I guess there are two.

 

The food was actually really really good and good portions. The location used to be Al Capone’s Apt/house and in 1998 some Electrician was doing work and discovered all kinds of s*** from Capone behind the walls and they ended up finding a vault in the basement they didn't know existed. You can go can in the basement and see the vault etc.

 

I had for my main course the Petite Filet Mignon & Jumbo Lump Crab Stuffed Colossal Shrimp with a red wine Demi -Glaze & Lemon Butter Sauce.

 

It was Excellent! Much better then Poutine;)-

That sounds infinitely worse than poutine. I mean, I f***ing hate seafood, it's gross as f***, but still.

If you don't know that Deadpool survives entirely on Mexican food, I question your knowledge of the character. Okay, he also ate the world's worst pizza in the movie, but still...

 

Steak is alright, but if you're eating a meal that expensive and you're eating beef over bison? the f*** outta here. Bison is where it's at.

Darvish gives up a leadoff "triple" in the 6th - really a double and a hilarious botch job in the outfield from Castellanos - and then proceeds to strike out the next three hitters in order. 14 strikeouts through 6. His stuff is unhittable.

The volatility of relievers never ceases to amaze. Liam Hendriks was a good reliever from 2015-2017, then he was mediocre in 2018, and in 2019 his average fastball velocity jumped by 1 mph so that he's routinely hitting 98-100. Now he's the most valuable reliever in baseball having pitched over 78 innings this season providing nearly 3.5 WAR.

 

Fascinating.
