More proof that bunting sucks. Also, too, pitchers batting EVER.

 

Watching a guy like Ohtani hit is enjoyable, along with several other guys. What I don't like in general is the NL strategy where you pitch around guys to get to the pitcher. I also don't like pitchers being pulled after like 70 pitches because they come up to the plate in a close game.

Meh, Ohtani can hit on days when he's not pitching (which is all of them now...). And yeah, NL baseball sucks by comparison, it's objectively worse than AL baseball.

Tatis Jr is killing it, is he better than Vladdy as a prospect?

 

He has a .433 BABIP with not great K/BB rates. He's a very promising young player and will likely be very good going forward, but he currently isn't necessarily a better hitter than our big bodied future first baseman, although he is likely a better player since he plays a premium position at least at a roughly average level and is a better baserunner. I don't think either has distanced themselves as the superior or inferior prospect.

Max Scherzer had 10 strikeouts in 7 innings today the day after breaking his nose. Apparently also had his highest average fastball velocity in a start since 2012. What an animal.

The first time this was floated the prosecutor dismissed it saying they had already admitted they were after Ortiz. Now even the prosecution’s tune has changed. Hate to put on the tin cap but seems like they decided to bury the truth here. Either because of Ortiz and/or the person that was really responsible for the hit (politically connected drug lord)

Not sure if they did but no one should be surprised if they did cover it up.

And you'd have to think if they started drawing more fans in Montreal than TB they'd transition the team fully to there.

Rays need to move anywhere. Tampa Bay is a dump and they literally have no fanbase. Montreal can't be any worse.

Man, I would love to see a team back in MTL. Expos bring back so many great memories.

 

It just seems so far fetched at this point given cost of new stadium demands.

 

I think it would be a much better market than TB...what is wrong with those fans, other than the stadium is horrendous?
