glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 This is the part where you complain that the Reds are batting him second in his debut and we batted Vlad fifth. I know Terminator is mad, who else wants to chime in? Don't forget the pinch running in the 9th, and giving him a day off less than a week into his debut. No other org would treat a generational talent like that.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Not sure if anyone has mentioned this or not but I did not expect that Matthew Boyd would ever turn into a solid starting pitcher.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 81 pitch... CG SO 4H 3Ks for Hendricks, that's efficient, lol.

I mean it's 6 starts... 2.1 WAR and 2.2 WAR in 2017 and 2018 isn't too bad. That's more than Price (the guy he got traded for) put up over the same time. Better than any of our starters last year. Now up to 1.6 on this season already. That definitely qualifies as solid.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Glasnow 7-1 k/bb 1.49 ERA. Reports of him sucking may have been exaggerated
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Glasnow 7-1 k/bb 1.49 ERA. Reports of him sucking may have been exaggerated I placed a $10 bet on Clevinger at the start of the season to win the AL Cy Young, then cashed it out at $11 when he got hurt. I reallocated those funds to Glasnow winning the Cy and I'm really liking what I see. I think his odds were something like 34:1 at the time of the wager.

Glasnow is the most fascinating pitcher in baseball right now.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Phegley has gone 4-5 with 8 RBI today

We were looking...for 41:1.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Really not smart business by the Mets to sign TDA for $3.5M, keep him through ST and then cut him loose this early into the season.

How is that even possible to have cashed out and made out? His injury was akin to falling behind 20 points on the spread and taking your money back
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Down goes Paxton. I thought I *almost* felt sorry for the Yankees, but then realized the discomfort was lunch related.

His injury was akin to falling behind 20 points on the spread and taking your money back He was like 51 to 1 when we placed the bet before the season and after his first two starts the odds came wayyy down to like 18 to 1. I cashed out at a bigger price right when he got hurt but P2F waited a bit longer until it came down to an 11$ cashout and then he bailed to take Glasnow
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Welcome back Miguel Andujar, two errors including a patented throwing error on a potential double play ball with Nelson Cruz running.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Matt Kemp released. I know we need OF help but I think I probably pass on him.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Matt Kemp released. I know we need OF help but I think I probably pass on him. Yeah, that's a hard pass from me. If we could get 10 years ago Matt Kemp, sure, but...

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Baseball as a business is going to suffer quite a bit if pitchers keep dropping like flies
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Watching the Yankees Happ looks super hittable now Like he did the last 4 starts before we traded him.
