I understand that you’re pretty open with that stuff, but other posters have a right not to be. If Spanky threatens you, report it and he’ll be banned. Don’t respond by posting personal information about him. I think that’s a pretty reasonable ask.

strike outs are a problem if you don't take your walks and you don't have real power. I don't care if Tellez' K rate is close to 30% as long as he can have a walk rate around 10% and hit 30+ bombs.

he also hasn't really ever struck out like this in the minors, like sub 20% at every level. Sometimes guys K a lot more against the better stuff, but a greatly reduced K rate is certainly a possibility.

He also has something like 120 PA in the MLB, it takes everyone time to adjust and he doesn't have the shortest and smoothest swing. It's encouraging to see his walk rate to return to the 9-10% range.

K rate will come down... but by how much? Walk rate looks okay so far this year (last year he was probably pressing). His HR/FB is 28.6% this year ... too high. Ultimately I don't think he's going to be an everyday player.

There is one possible difference... Tellez is a fat f***. Sure they're both slow, but Tellez' physique says a lot about his ethic, etc. There are few good baseball players his size.
